Or whomever the team brings in. I need to think their RB search isn’t quite done. I’d be unsurprised to see NE spend both FA $ and draft capital to bring in new RBs for next summer.now, we will need something out of Johnson.
We need rham to be back and healthy .
Jennings is not the answer and rham value in play action is huge.
We won yesterday but think of it 80% of our yards were on 4 plays - 2 Henderson runs, Hollins catch and Williams catcha and run TD.
Maye had probably the lowest completion percentage in yesterday's game.
Need to figure out how we attack middle of middle or short yardage plays .
Pop , Henry and hooper were invisible yesterday . It was all hendo, hollins and that long TD by williams.
We got the win , but need to figure out how to improve upon red zone plays on offense and stopping red zone conversions on defense .
How is the right side offensive lineman doing on runs - onwenu and Moses. Is that a huge weak link ?
wasn’t Henderson’s first run over RG? So, Onwenu? How is the right side offensive lineman doing on runs - onwenu and Moses. Is that a huge weak link ?

That's the trend for a lot of offenses it seems. What's good is just how efficient the Patriots are at making the most of their chunk gains and converting to scores.
Pop had two very important catches for firsts, the first leading to our score to go up 14-10 I believe. Again, a receiver can have two or three catches in this offense but they're often moving the chains and then some, sustaining scoring drives. Diggs entire role is very reflective of this. He has notched more than 5 catches only twice since the Bills, and hasn't even had 70 yards in any game since. However, his catches tend to be extremely crucial in pushing forward a drive.
This team is the opposite of a high-snap-volume offense we got so used to. You may even see similar chunkiness from early Mahomes teams. Granted, Kelce could sometimes see a lot of catches, but sometimes it was just Mahomes ripping it to Hill and a few bombs connecting and they'd suddenly score 21 in the third. That kept teams on their toes
Boutte being out is also tough, he was potentially the most clear example of what I'm getting at: I don't think there's a single Boutte catch that isn't extremely important in the games he's in.
This is a very, very efficient offense IMO. And it makes it difficult to defend, you have a bunch of different receiving options that don't have an overwhelming majority of targets, making it difficult to even let in on who's gonna pop off for our game. It'd be interesting to see how Bill would attack this offense from the "take away their best piece" philosophy.
I'd love to see Gonzo and Davis more in man coverage in the RZ but we are also extremely good at keeping offenses simply out of reach for scoring. The game is a bit different than the final score suggests, as their last score was in the waning seconds. I like Kuhr's improvement from game to game, I imagine things will continue to tighten up.
At this point, we've faced a couple of damn good DCs.I agree with your points and I am not trying to be a negative nelly here just see some wrinkles which if we iron out , could be really impregnable fortress .
BIt again this season , we were not expecting to compete , and by slinging it we are winging it . Continue till our luck and execution lasts ( deep balls being near perfect and being caught only by our receivers ).
The fear of deep balls might help open up our run game I think .
I think these are your first three picks, to be completely honest. Tackle to replace Moses, Corner to eventually replace Davis (and depth) Safety (to sit behind Hawkins for another year) Next would be a guard. Unless an incredible linebacker ends up falling into your lap with one of those, and that might be another FA signing too. With the way Maye is playing looks like we just need to focus on lines and make sure he has two release valves always - Boutte. Diggs, Henry and hollins are great .
Looks like we always need a hollins kinda player and a solid pass blocking running back.
That's our identity .
First two rounds just get either an offensive lineman or cornerback or all pro potential safety .
We will find diamond in the rough edge guyz and wide receivers and tight ends in middle rounds . First 3 rounds always BPA .

Here's the thing, and we're all guilty of it.Fair enough, I didn't get much of a negative vibe. I had just been thinking about the chunk play vs. consistent gains myself as something that I’d normally worry about but feel different this year about it. However, there is always room for improvement, which is equally exciting given how successful they’ve been this year already.
If we can start gashing the middle for runs, this team could become borderline unstoppable.
He caved in the end of the line on the TD at the 5-minute mark. I hate to see him get overused, but he does a very good job blocking.Tonga looked better at FB this week. It's only a matter of time before he gets a carry.
