It must be confounding for Defenses knowing they can blitz Maye all day, put tons of pressure on him - even sack him... and he brushes it off and just makes big plays.

Special Teams seems intent on putting this one away themselves.

Only one issue of concern with Maye is that he doesn't seem to be quite as adept at those 5 yard short passes with nearly everything in the 10 yard range. Not a bad thing as he's stretching the field all by himself it seems - but can he get those dink and dunk low risk catches in lieu of a strong running game, which seems to be lacking on the goal line especially?

This is going to be huge for him going forward. It eats clock, limits the opponents possessions, and gives your defense a break.

If he accomplishes this, he will be a top 5- 10 QB moving forward.

It's getting harder by the week to hold onto my idea that this early in the rebuild this team can't really be a contender this year. If this keeps up, I'm going to have to buy a couple of pom poms and a pair of bootie shorts, and no one wants to see that.
