If he has to jump to catch the ball he sometimes comes down off balance, he starts running while trying to regain his balance. It doesn't happen when maye hits him in strid
That accounts (maybe) for stumble 1 of the 3 the previous poster mentioned in that ONE play.

This win will go a long way for the rest of the season. Yeah it’s fun blowing people out every week. But, these nail biters close games learning how to close opponents out are so beneficial, especially for a team as young as NE.

You just now that McDaniels will scheme up a goal line catch for Tonga in the playoffs.

Barmore is having an incredible season even though he's not getting counting stats.
To me it's crazy to think otherwise.
Agreed was just asking a question on his production as far as sacks.

DaBruinz too much like my wife for comfort.

I did watch game, Wilson wasn't the problem, showed some good athleticism.

So you watched the game, Mayo. I did as well. A few good plays don't outweigh the others where Wilson was an issue. Go watch the plays where the team gave up sacks. Or the team allowed a RB to be hit behind the LOS.

Boutte has been the team's first-down machine, and he and Maye have been developing a mind-meld. You could feel the difference with him off the field.
Agreed. Even though he had no catches he was certainly getting attention. As an opposing defense you would have to be pretty stoked when he left.

I mentioned that he needs to learn to run "in control".

Almost 25 for me. Didn't take me long to figure out my wife's 2 favorite words were not "I'm right", but rather "You're wrong".

Last night Mr. Patchick and I were stuck on the T for quite a while, listening to a woman complain about all of her husband's many faults to a friend. When we got off the train Mr. P turned to me and said "Oh man, every time she described a new failing I thought 'Ouch, I totally do that!'" I replied "It's funny, I kept thinking 'Ouch, lady, you're handling that situation all wrong!'"

Which is to say that yeah, husbands do tend to be wrong. But you don't have to rub their noses in it.

Man - talk about an ugly ugly win between the OL and the turnovers etc.

And yet there were STILL some fantastic amazing football plays mixed in. And yes, they were without their starting RB and #1 WR - which makes those great plays all the better as we've got a "next guy up" mentality going on here.

This of course is one of those games you win that you deserved to lose, and still won - kindof making up for those games you should have won but still lost (maybe makes up for the Raiders game?)

So to me this is one of the worst games they've played - and they still looked better than most other teams out there, regardless of strength of schedule.

Funny how somebody on Patriots Today ( Zo?) asked Vrabel about this very option; ‚since he had so much experience w LB playing in goal line; if a DE could also do that?‘

Vrabel said they are different positions [DE vs LB] and they weren’t considering anything of the kind. LOL
( not sure what funnier: that that crew predicted it or that MV kept the smokescreen up and denied )

In fairness, a punt would likely pin us deep and we hadn’t done a good job moving the ball in the 2nd quarter. They had the 2 minute warning as a timeout too. If they’d have stopped us on 3rd down they’d have got the ball back and would have been confident of getting enough yards in time to kick the winning FG.

I did think they would and should have gone for it, but the way the game was going, I can kind of understand why they punted.
Minor nit, but they punted with 2:03 on the clock and by the time the play was over the two minute warning was no longer in play.

Having a person on London's level doesn't matter when Maye is:
1) over-throwing the ball
2) getting sacked because the O-line isn't blocking long enough
3) isn't seeing the open receiver such as Kyle Williams in the EZ when Drake decided to scramble to his left
This is idiotic.
Maye is the most accurate QB in the NFL.
Maye was not going to throw back across his body while running left and running for the first down. Suggesting he failed by not doing so is ignorant.

They didn't have the 2 minute warning through. 2:03 on the clock before the 4th down snap, would have been 2-minute warning after the play no matter what they ran.

Gutless punt there, dumb decision. Throw a jump ball to London, even if you don't get it, the Patriots play it the exact same way, regardless of field position.

It was a head injury, not his hammy.
Right but in preseason a simple hammy tweak had him out 6 weeks. I think he spoke at the podium post game though so that’s a decent sign

Well maybe he has a problem w his balance while holding a ball
Maybe HE should do the fumble training everyone wanted Rham to do and carry the rock all week in facility. Lol

The pats can win the AFC. They have some big decisions to make ahead of the trade deadline.
