You’re saying we don’t have a legit OG? Neither of them?

Not the RG that was named to the PFWA All-Rookie Team in 2020 after playing both guard and tackle during the season, and was PFF’s fourth ranked guard when he played the full 2022 season at RG?

Not the rookie LG who just made the PFF Rookie z team of the Week for week 7?

What do you consider “legit”?

Whenever the pocket has collapsed, Wilson appears to usually be in the middle of the breakdown...

Maybe Wilson was the only rookie LG on the field last week...?

I'd take Kevin Zeitler off the Titties' hands right now and start him Immediately at left Guard in place of Wilson, who's about to hit the Inexperienced Rookie wall... I also wouldn't mind DE Arden Key & FS Xavier Woods while I'm at it...
What is Tennessee asking for Zeitler? What’s his cap hit for us? How many years left on his contract?

It is; but getting nothing out of both Henderson & Williams so far is starting to worry me...
I get it cap.. Henderson and Williams are talented players with speed. I feel like maybe we expected based on small sample sizes in camp/pre-season that they would have immediate impacts. I believe they both will end up becoming factors down the stretch here.

Your thoughts mirror mine. I don't think the Pats will do anything rash at the trade deadline. My feeling is the Front Office is taking a long-term, sustained success roster construction view. The most cost-effective way to do that is hitting on your draft capital.

Vrabel has talked about this and that's exactly what they are doing. He understands where they are at as a franchise, and is intent on building through the draft and developing their young players. They will use free agency to supplement this, but they aren't going to trade away picks and young players just to satisfy fans who can't stop drooling over every wide receiver rumored to be unhappy somewhere.

We need a legit OG and a quality DB. We have 6 WR's on roster and two are rookies. The guys we have a playing good ball. Boutte has #1 potential. The guy has improved every year and seems to come down with the ball every time he's targeted, even when he's well covered. Our BIG weakness is still the OLine. We didn't do enough in offseason.

They replaced 4/5 of the starting OL, and they went after a number of interior OL who decided to take other deals. That's about as much as you can do on one unit in an offseason. They will continue to address it this coming offseason through both the draft and free agency. They had one of the best offseasons you can put together, but you can't fix the worst roster in football in one offseason.

The OL isn't great but it’s miles ahead last year’s dumpster fire. Spacing, hands and second level run blocking are all better generally.

Playing time against the Titans from the most to the least was Spillane, Mapu, Elliss, and Tavai. Mapu is ahead of Elliss and Tavai, his playing time is increasing every week, and Mapu led the team in tackles with only playing 20 snaps.
As he should.. Mapu seems to have found his role and is doing well in his role..

Devin was really good, not great. He exemplified “do your job.” Not be great at your job. I don’t think he makes the hall. Earl Thomas has a good case. But the NFL has been void of high quality, free safeties for a long time. Ed reeds don’t grow on trees. Looking at the lineup, if you could get a sure thing blue chip player at FS, you take him without hesitation. Probably the rarest position to find sure thing HOF like players. I think Caleb downs is the best prospect since Malik hooker. And even that didn’t go as planned. It takes elite brains and elite athleticism mixed with a little psycho to be elite at the free safety position.
3X 2nd team all pro (2010, 2013, 2016). I'd be stunned if he made the HOF.

I hope it starts this week for Henderson as due to byes, I'm forced to start him in FF.

Me too. Henderson is far to talented not be effective.. not sure exactly what's holding him back but eventually he's going to break out.. you'd think with a defensive front we are facing in Cleveland the screen game, short passing game he would be heavily involved in...

I think people are being way too hard on Jared Wilson. He will be fine (though the Cleveland game may be rough).
This is where having an OC like JM pays off the quick passing and screen game will be heavily emphasized against an aggressive defense like Cleveland..

Take it FWIW. He is kinda redundant with Barmore and Williams. Not sure where he would fit in. Would love to have a player the caliber of Simmons, but I don't know why they would do this. If he was an edge rusher, I would be all in.
