OT: Players you forget were Patriots

Antonio Brown was the dumbest Patriot ever. All he had to do was behave like a normal person. He couldn’t pull that off.

In Antonio's defense, I've found it impossible to behave like a normal person throughout my life.

Seriously, as I've aged I've been able to do it less out of some kind of angry sarcasm and more out of respect and consideration for other people to make them feel comfortable and for myself to be better engaged socially.

Kinda amazing that it got even worse once he left here...

Has anyone mentioned Jim Plunkett? Depending on the age of folks here, the reaction to that will probably be either "of course we remember him!" and "who dat?"

But I came of age (born 1973) when I only knew him from the Raidahs and found out later that he played for the Pats.

Couple weird ones in the late 90’s at the end of good, hall of very good careers:

Henry Thomas and Henry Ellard. Both named Henry by coincidence.

Brian Waters
That 2011 line was special. Light, Mankins, Connolly (played great after Koppen went out), Waters, Vollmer.
Had Nate Solder and Ryan Wendell in reserve roles as well.

Feels like this could be good info for a Six degrees Patriots edition game lol

I’m so proud of myself every time I get Marc Edwards for Jags Patriots. Or Fred McCrary for Chargers Patriots.
Between the two of us we probably make up about 90% of the Marc Edwards/Fred McCrary usage lol. It is weird some of the arbitrary names that pop into my head playing that game. I play so often that I have >1% defaults I use for certain combos. Kendrell Bell as my Chief/Steeler, Peerless Price as my Falcon/Cowboy, and old friend, Dedric Ward pops into my brain way more often than he should.

No, he couldn't. But sadly it does seem like when he eventually passes away it will be revealed he had some CTE going on. Obviously he acts like a damn clown and has some done some downright destructive things to people, but I think you do have to acknowledge that some of it is out of his control (or strongly appears to be).

here’s a fun one: James Ihedigbo for Lions Patriots. Or Ravens Lions if you’re feeling wild enough.
