I'm not putting this in the "arrived" thread b/c it's more of a history thing.

When BB was on the 2024 NFL draft coverage and basically dissing Drake Maye, why was he doing it? Was it because he really didn't think highly of Maye, or was he just p*ssing in Kraft's Wheaties? If they had drafted, say, McCarthy, would he have been as negative?

Let me end with a thought experiment: let's assume that somehow BB had actually gotten one last chance in 2024. What do you think he would've done at QB, especially given the trade offers we know were offered?

He would've kept Jacoby Brissett as the starting QB and his first round pick would've been a projected 7th round DB from Rutgers.

Coming out of college Maye needed work. BB was not wrong.

He would have screwed up Maye if there was no Josh.

BB has turned into an even more petty, childish, resentful A-hole than he was when he was here. I don't care what he thinks or would've done.

@Ian NOW can we please get a BB Forum?

Bailey Zappe would have been our starter and McCarthy or Nix would be drafted to compete with him. Someone like Maye is not Bill’s MO.

100%

Just want to point out there's a button for those who would rather not partake in this thread:

If you push it, the thread disappears.

You guys are dupes for the horsepucky coming out of the Boston media. It's like you didnt know what you were watching for 20 years.

How did he do with Brady?

There was no Josh.

He recuperated Vinny Testaverde's career in Cleveland.

Let's not judge Belichick by whatever the hell happened with Mac "Crybaby" Jones.

This one’s going on mute.

Would've resigned Jackie O (dirt cheap)

And used unspent roster savings to get Jordan that elusive Miss Maine crown

I remember hearing about that (didn’t watch it). Honestly, I think it was sour grapes. He was always the guy making picks for the Pats, so this was the 1st pick that wasn’t his. That being said, there were A LOT of people who felt the Pats should’ve traded down and picked up the extra picks, and then draft a different QB. Tom E Curran is finally shutting up about it. I’m sure if the Pats lose a couple of games, he might bring it back up.

The real shame of it all, even after dumping BB, they still can’t draft WRs in the first 4 rounds. I give him credit for Douglas and Boutte though in 2023. Great 6th round picks. But Wolf is following BB’s tradition with the two ****ty receivers in 2024, and so far the Tyquan Thornton of 2025.

I already asked repeatedly.

You should have prefaced you request with "Serious question".
For every new forum that's created, it creates another area that needs to be moderated. The mods have enough to keep an eye on, and it's not fair to them or to me to add yet another forum just because someone posts a thread some people might not like.

That's part of the reason why I added the one-click thread ignore. Unlike before I did that, you can now conveniently click it without even having to go into it, and it disappears right after it's clicked.
