One thing I've noticed is that the defense always seems to take it a little easy on the first drive. Almost like they're playing off a little, keeping things in front of them, to gauge what the offense is doing instead of attacking. Then later in the game when they have a better read on the offense they start playing more aggressively.

I don't love it, but I get it somewhat from a strategic standpoint. When it ends in a TD though it kinda sucks.
