Yes, of course. And FSs with cover skills are sought after because they are more rare, but we need one. That is why McCourty was expensive.

Last week on the corner blitz, a safety has to cover Olave. Dugger, Woodson, and Hawkins are not doing that. We need a guy like McCourty to do that. There are guys in the draft - we have to use a high pick to get one.
I hear alot about these guys in the draft. What do you think of asking Austin to play safety. Being a CB himself he probably could provide better coverage abilities than anyone else? I believe Vrabel should explore it. ?

I have no idea. A safety has to have 3D perception, angles, multiple assignments, etc. An outside corner's job is more narrowly defined. No idea if Austin has the spatial aptitude.

Good points. Hawkins reminds me a bit of meriweather. Makes a good play then gives up a big play.. maybe Vrabel's just looking to get by with what he has until FA/Draft?

I would think a replacement for Hawkins and Elliss are high on the list. We also need a rebuild on the Offensive line right side. Not too bad overall - we have some cap space and the draft, so we should have a decent roster in 2026 if we draft well.

Eliss will likely end up a rotation player goal line LB should he remain in the league. Definitely Bryant as previously mentioned is being developed at RT.. don't know about RG.. not sure who could take over for ownenu..

OK, now this is my latest wish list and we'll get to see most of it tomorrow.

1. Tony Pollard. Given how bad the Titan offense is I was surprised to hear that Pollard was currently the #8 RB in yds after contact. I think he could be had for the 5th given he has a fairly big RB salary (about $6MM/ thru 26) But not big at all for the room we have) And we gave a quality RB this year for depth and one under contract for next year if we want to move on after Rham.

2. And while we are in Tenn, why don't we pick up Jeffery Simmons. I know he's a luxury, but he's just 28 and probably a HOFer to boot. He adds quality depth at DT and can play DE as well. He's a big ticket at about $20MM/ but the signing bonus is off our budget. The eagles proved last year that you can't have too many quality DLmen. I'd pay a 3rd and Young to get him for the rest of Drakes rookie contract and swap his reps for Youngs and more. Image THAT 3 man rush and what you could do off it.

3. Finally, why not have a reunion with Stevie G who can come in for some CB depth, but more importantly, HE might be a perfect guy to play that 0 Safety. He wouldn't be the first guy to move from CB to FS and do a great job, PLUS he doesn't cost anything but money. No draft capital

I mentioned signing Gilmore weeks ago, we luv that add and could move to Safety.

Who is Young?

"I'd pay a 3rd and Young to get him"

But...but... we are all set at wr...
That's like saying, as someone suggested to me, that the Pats supposedly offering two late first for an early Jags pick meant BB was "desperate" to trade up.

Short version: you can't have too many, but you can pay them too much.

Met Terrance Wheatley in market basket one time.. should have asked him what aisle is the bread..

The one at East Milton Square? Brady used to go there when he first joined the Pats and was living at Marina Bay... My sister got to know him on a first-name basis whenever they would bump into each other there...

Personally, I think that we need that type of player. Vrabel does also or he wouldn't be getting so many reps.

We won't take on 3 big contracts on the defensive line.
