2025:

AJ Brown: 25 rec. 274 yards, 1 TD - 28 years old, Signed through 2029 for a total of ~$130 million
Kayshon Boutte: 18 rec. 301 yards, 3 TD - 23 years old, Signed through 2026 for a total of $2.1 Million
Remember the Eagles have built their Team around the Great Saquon Barkley and rightfully so. A.J. Brown had four steps and one of the Best CB in the game P Surtain. And already schooled Gonzo in a scrimmage and game...just for the record.

Just feels like there isn't a truly elite FS in this league at this moment. Teams still play a lot of cover 3, but it's more of a hybrid cover 3. Not sure if the FS position is being used different these days, or there's just currently a gap in Elite talent at the position. It's been a while since you hear about a player the likes of Reed, Thomas, Waddle or McCourty. Malik Hooker was supposed to be in that category but his career was derailed by a bad injury. Would love to have OS safety Caleb downs next year but I doubt that will happen.
IMHO, we need a TRUE, FAST FS to take over for McCourtey.
Others may feel differently, but that's what I see.

I heard he would be a top 5 pick . So un likey we get him.

We should not have released peppers. That's a bad depth move.

We need a stud SS, FS backup for woodson , edge and slot cornerback to provide depth for Marcus . After these are met , maybe a running back or fullback followed by a tight end . After that comes wide receiver.

Wr is a luxury at this point . Pop, Chism and Williams yet to breakout. So we can look forward to more from them as they get their chances.

Budda is the player I want most.

Unfortunately, that clip is EXACTLY why the Pats (or anyone else) is likely to get Budda Baker. He is the acknowledged heart and soul of that defense and likely the team. To trade him away is basically telling that team to pack it away this year and sends a terrible message to the locker room. I didn't realize how impactful he was to their team.

He is without question my #1 target for this trade season, and I'd be willing to do it for a 2nd and if we got a 4th back, I'd be thrilled. He is what we need for this defense and would REALLY improve the Defense for the playoffs. BUT... I can only hope the Cards collapse over the next 3 games and gives us an opening.

BTW- They are 2-4 but have lost those 4 games by a total of NINE points combined. So, I doubt they see themselves as a bad team

You don't get to just pick and choose the players that come available in the order that you deem the most important needs. You can only trade for guys other teams want to trade, sign guys who are FAs, or draft guys on the board.

The only two "starters" you mentioned are Safety and EDGE. Everything else you had above WR was depth, but in the meantime Hollins/Pop/Williams/Chism are combing for like 75% playing time as the 3rd WR in our offense and contributing nothing basically except for one deep shot to Douglas last game. I'd agree that needs at EDGE/Safety trounce that, but lacking a competent 3rd WR is more determinantal to the team than a 3rd TE or backup slot CB. 3rd WR is an actual starting position.

Third WR mention.

You don’t have to convince me.
I’ve been saying along I like our pass catching group and don’t think we need to add anyone.
Would much prefer and Edge.
I know you prefer Safety, that is right up there too.
I just don’t see WR as a need.
The element we need is K. Williams to emerge. Once we get the vertical passing game going it adds another dimension for teams to have to worry about. That is where I'm at...

I agree that if we could unlock Williams that would really add a boost, like maybe top 5 passing offense. That said, Pop might be able to provide a downfield threat that no one anticipated, as he was pegged as a slot only, but has speed and can threaten the deep part of the field. We obv saw evidence of that last week.
And.....how many passes did we have of 20+ yds last week? Add in the the Pop bomb negated by a terrible penalty call, the Diggs catch negated by a horrendous penalty call, and the bomb off Hollins fingers. Seems like we have a pretty good vertical passing attack right now if last week is an indication of things to come.

Agreed there.. could it be maybe this is the role best suited for pop?? He had speed and quickness and good hands.. your correct we have had some big plays in the passing game and the passing game has really been our strength as an offense this season. Who would have thought?.. Kyle Williams although a rookie if he caught a few 25 plus gains a game it will force teams out the 8 man box. Teams play that way because they are assuming that we don't throw it deep.

I generally don't sweat it when Drake throws a long pass(unlike Mac), he has a fkn cannon and can make those throws.
We have a good enough WR Crew IMO, Pop needs to be where he is supposed to be, or watch the issues at the line for backyard ball...
Seems Diggs/Hollins understand the broken play, and reroute to make themselves available. I have to guess Pop did that on at least one of the big plays last week.
I think Williams and Ghism will get their shot, guys get injured.
I don't see a reason to spend big $ on a trade WR, I think we need a GOOD FS, and maybe a Coverage LB(EVER YEAR IT SEEMS).
A GOOD FB could help, but not thinking we have a spot.

As fans we seem to be more concerned about a billionaires $$ than the product on a field. As fans we need to be more concerned about the talent on the field than $$$.. Owners make money in thier sleep you as I have to go to work to get paid, and we want to be entertained on game days... I tend to lean to more about wanting my team to continue to add talent to the team as we go along in the Vrabel and Drake era. NFL teams can do whatever they so choose with a salary when two teams really want to make a deal. RKK isn't going to need to eat at the salvation army soup kitchen any time soon..

Try reading your post. Its ridiculous.

I read his post. There is nothing ridiculous about it. Zuma is more down to earth than most.

I think it's very unfair to lump him in with the likes of SamCunningham, Rin6, State, and PatsFans2.

You seem to be taking his comments out of context. He was replying to RealFan02 who was touting that the Pats O-line was 11th over-all even with the bad run game. At no point did Zuma downplay the rebuild. He seemed to be trying to temper expectations. Especially since the Pats have only beaten 1 team with a winning record, at this point.

One thing that should give us hope about the Run Game is that it should get better as the line continues to gel and teams stop putting 8 in the box. There was a stat mentioned that the Pats actually have seen either the most or 2nd most number of snaps with 8 in the box. Knowing this, McDaniels needs to call more play-actions and designed roll-outs for Maye to help. Maybe put an in alert call for a particular player so that if Maye sees the 8-in-the-box, the play becomes a screen to the outside receiver who has fewer men on his side of the field.

Terrible take. That would be like saying the Pats in 2007 should have stuck with Reche Caldwell and never touched Moss.

I like Boutte but he isnt a game changer like AJ Brown. AJ Brown is still very much in his prime but is being poorly used and he knows it which is why he is disgruntled.

Remember Moss in 2006 had 555 Yards with 3 Tds. Then he came to NE and set an NFL record and this team was a fluke play away from having the greatest season ever.

Be interesting to see if he can or if that NO safety was just that bad lol He toasted that guy on the first td. Id like to see him do it to some other teams
He toasted NO twice, no matter what the zebras did afterward. So I’d say that shows it’s him.

No, but let's just call a spade a spade - they missed that evaluation. Chism should be on the practice squad instead of the active roster, with that spot going to Bourne. And then Kyle Williams should be the weekly gameday inactive like Chism was before the injury forced him into return action (he could be a practice squad call up). Diggs/Boutte should be the (mostly) every down receivers. Bourne would be #3 but Douglas rotated in as well. Hollins would only be used as a de facto 3rd TE or very situationally as a blocking receiver, along with his STs role.

If they just absolutely loved Chism and were afraid to lose him to waivers, then you could find a spot for him I guess off of another position. But the above scenario would be a pretty decently improved receiver rotation with Bourne playing like he is. And he had his best year under McDaniels so it's not like learning the offense would be an issue either. His inside-outside versatility allows you to use Diggs in the slot or out wide and rotate Douglas in accordingly. He'd really just be a great fit here. Like I said, they misevaluated that one.

Disagree completely. Vrabel is building a team for the future and developing young players is at the core of that effort. Chism was kept because of his potential to develop into a good slot receiver for them, and he would be long gone if they released him. Keeping short term players over those you see helping you long term is short sighted.

I think it's very unfair to lump him in with the likes of SamCunningham, Ring6, State, and PatsFans2.
What the hell is going on here? You are listing ridiculous and absurd posters and I am not on the list? You are obviously clueless.

@PatsFan2 is more absurd than me? Not a chance. Sam is a sweetheart, I am an *******. Andy is a great poster, I am a drunk poster. State? Did you say State? OK, State loves Rattler and wanted Ryland gone, but still State is consistent and true.

You want to know who is the biggest ****head poster? Don't make me say it.

The 2nd one looked more like a busted coverage. But the first one he did that guy filthy, hope to see more of that

Tavai has a role, he's great setting the edge and is a sure tackler. Coming back from injury he we will slowly worked in the rotation. He's usable. Dugger is a liability and schooler seems to be getting snaps at times over him.

He's a totally different player and that injury last season under the Jarod rust season may have just really ruined Dugger. But safety and edge are huge needs as Landry and Chaisson are dealing with injuries and playing through them.

Dude. Just stop with the Schooler is getting more snaps BS.

Schooler took 2 Defensive snaps against Buffalo. That's hs TOTAL snaps on Defense for the year.

Dugger has 131 Defensive Snaps on the year.

So, no. Schooler isn't getting more snaps over him. FFS.

The fact you're regurgitating the Garbage from PatsFan2 without actually looking it up yourself is very bad for you.

So his contract still has multiple years left on it? I didn't know. What do you think it would take to get him?
It's 2 years and 33 million for whomever adds him. AZ would have still have the SB from ths year and salary, and the rest of the prorated money ($6M) would hit next year's cap, saving $13M. However, if Dugger was what we traded along with a draft pick, then both teams beneft.
