OT: Josh Simmons steal of draft

Campbell is looking very good. But more and more it seems the Pats could have tried to find a trading partner moved down from 4 to twenties picked up extra draft capital and still picked a franchise LT
At this point in all the proceedings, do you just post this hypothetical **** just to seek attention??

PFF is just wrong, Smith beat him pretty regularly late in the game, no way his PFF rating on pass blocking was that high. Yeah, if you just count him vs the immortal Josh Uche.
They also rated Simmons as one of the worst run blockers in the entire league at 49.4. Vederian Lowe level of bad. PFF was wrong on that as well and even more wrong on how they rated Campbell on run blocking

Today, Will Campbell is a better player than Simmons and highly likely will ALWAY be a better run blocker. Its early, we shall see long term who will be the better pass blocker will be but for a balanced attack you need to run the ball.

Then the Chiefs will see that and trade up ahead of the Pats to grab Simmons and the Pats also probably lose out on Campbell… then what? If we want Simmons he had to be taken at 4. That’s very risky coming off that injury.

Bull ****....Sam Bam

Just out for a little stroll this morning.

Guy pulled an Isiah Wynn and just went MIA.
Or Arian Klemm, who was supposedly sick. Yeah, sick of the clown show that the Pats were last year.

Glad the Chiefs fell on the grenade this time. The number one red flag on Simmons was that he was immature and had some off-field issues. Maybe this is an unfortunate situation out of his control but either way it doesn't look like he will be back for a while.

For the HC to say he's leaving the situation to the GM...not good.

As a dad of 5 boys I see nothing amiss with that. The football equivalent of 'Did you ask your mother?'
Which I think most dads will agree is a perfectly acceptable dodge... er position... to take.

5 boys? Must be mayhem lol.

You could probably play this game with almost any top pick ever taken by any team.. seems like a reach in this case though.

You're not getting a Will Campbell in the 20s, and the chances of getting a "franchise" LT there seem slim.

It was whenever circumstances left me in charge. They are adults now having survived in spite of my questionable parenting skills, thankfully my long suffering spouse turned out to be a helluva ringmaster. Four of the five now have sons of their own. Much to my bride's amazement I've progressed to a patriarchal role and where to them I was once the out of touch village idiot to their sons I am now the fount of all male wisdom and they are the idiots.

Life is full of enjoyable ironies

Will Campbell was a top performer for us in week 2.
Sam is back after going away onto the Jets forum and creating mayhem there. Now he has decided to bring all his crappy **** back here. He is a true Troll.

There any actual clarity as to what’s up with Simmons? All I read is “away to California for a personal issue and no comment.”

I guess I read Mahomes is praying for him. That sounds ominous

This is what could've happened with the dreaded trade down. Just take the top T and be done with it. Pats were in the situation many times where they had highly rated draft prospects mocked to them there for the taking, but passed on for the trade down.
