My issue with the WR position is that I don't think any of Hollins/Douglas/Kyle Williams/Chism are legit guys for the 3 WR package, which is one of the "base" formations you need. Diggs/Boutte are good but you need to be able to run a 3 WR set and feel you have legit guys in all 3 spots IMO.
Hollins is a good blocker and big body, but I don't think he should be a top 3 WR. He's a #4 who does some STs and package player on offense.
Douglas is a darling in the eyes of many, but I just don't see it. He made two big plays deep last game (one called back confusingly of course). The first one was a great, normal play which is awesome. The one called back was a broken play - still awesome, but it doesn't really highlight the concern I have about how he plays down after down. I don't see someone who consistently does the right thing as a WR. That's not sustainable as a top 3 WR IMO.
Kyle Williams hasn't looked good when he's out there. Maybe a readiness thing but whatever it is, he shouldn't be an option this year.
Chism is another fan favorite but there's no indication that as an UDFA rookie he's good enough for that role at this time.
It's not the end of the world if they keep running with the Hollins/Douglas combo as the #3 WR, but there's no reason they shouldn't be actively looking for a more suitable #3 option. Obviously a guy who's ahead of Boutte or even Diggs would be awesome, but doesn't need to be that drastic. Someone who's better than Hollins and more dependable than Douglas would be nice.
