Not only the invisible flags, and the bad calls, and Olave's fumble they blew dead. The NFL had to buzz in from New York at least 4 different times to overturn blatantly obvious bad calls. Ball placement. Clock issues. The two-point conversion that Maye scored on easily. That's not even counting the two challenges Vrabel had to use on two other blatantly obvious calls. Not to mention the obvious 'make-up' calls to make it look less imbalanced. The PI right after the phantom flag called back the touchdown, wasn't even in the neighborhood on PI. The roughing penalty on Boutte's 2nd touchdown. The guy hit Boutte in the shoulderpad, with his chest, and not even that hard. THAT is why the Patriots went for two, and it wasn't just an analytics thing like we originally thought. They had the ball at the 1.5 yard line after that. And THEN they tried to scam the 2-point try away after the makeup call.
The single worst referee'd game I have ever seen, and I don't think it's close. If the referees *didn't* have money on the game, it certainly gave every indication that they did.
