Curran is ridiculous, blaming Maye for the end zone int. **** Curran
It’s not Curran. This time. That throw was not a good choice, and it was thrown into a Dlineman’s hands. Announcers on the national feed we got here in DC were critical of it at the time.

The receiver was wide open. You cannot blame a dl tipping the ball on the qb.

I didnt understand how with 3 timeouts we let the clock burn at the end of half and called 3 straight passes after getting an encroachment penalty without a single run . just played to not give steelers the ball and ended up doing just that.

It is what is and we're going to have to get used to it. The glory years aren't coming back. The games are coming down to Maye who seems to max out at about 260ish yards passing to 280 on a good day. For some reason, he's still looking for his first 300 yard passing day. This is seriously concerning.

Some players just never recover from a fumbling problem that Rham has. Kevin Faulk was a rare situation where it looked like he had no business being on the team after the 2000 season. Something clicked with him and he become a key cog in the first dynasty.

Mike Vrabel is 7-20 in his last 27 games a HC - a stat I'm sure many aren't aware of.

Pats are 3-16 in homes games since 2023.

Aaron Rodgers is cooked, but has a job over 40 because the bar is set so low around the NFL.

Maye's yardage would be a lot higher if we attacked down the field, but we don't. It's methodical, and it's working apart from the fumbling RB's today. It would also be a lot higher if our WR actually picked up any YAC, which is a hallmark of McDaniels in the past. Every WR is tackled immediately so far this season, couple nice WR moves and Maye would easy be 350 yards per game.

The INT is McDaniels fault first and foremost, because he shouldn't be throwing 3 times inside the 5 with a young QB, that got his head smashed into the turf the play before. Drake went 92 yards in 17 plays on that drive... that's very impressive. Josh seems to get cute, almost like he enjoys padding QB stats as though it's TB12 out there.

its a short field, you cant really see the hands until balls released

Rham needs to hold the balls with both hands now!

Wow. Ian 'Voice of the Jets' Eagle was critical of the Patriots again? The hell you say.

He didn't expect Hayward to get off the ground like that. Young QB mistake, I'm not super mad about that one. The fumble was heroball and inexcusable. The rest of the day, he was really accurate when throwing to anyone but Pop Douglas. There was a lot more good than bad.

Thanks for that Stat: we'll see what type of HC Vrabel is going forward. We remember BB and after a game close to yesterday Rham would be watching from the Bench from now on.Pop Douglas is running aimlessly out there. We need to shake up the line up Kyle Williams and Eton Chism baptism by fire.

We should be 2-1. If we played these 3 teams in November when this team has matured we would win all 3 easily.
100% agree. This team needs to learn how to stop beating themselves before they can beat thier opponents.

Maye had an atrocious first drive. Then had a couple really really bad plays in crucial moments, the INT, the fumble.
The thing with him is he can look good for a really long time like the drive where he had the INT, and then **** the bed in the final play. I think Josh didnt help him there either, they could have run the ball but then again, with all the fumbling problems maybe they had cold feet. And thats what all this comes down to. You cant be making all these mistakes, because they will bite you later. If Stevenson never fumbles, this is a much more composed team and maybe that INT never happens. I dont know. Vrabel needs to clean this ****show and get them ready to play and fast or things can go south in a hurry.

And they're not good enough to do that yet. You can say 'They should be 2-1', I say 'You are what your record says you are'.

Long stretches look better. Parts of the operation look like a representative NFL team. That's a big improvement over the last 2 years. I'm here for the rebuild. But this was never a playoff team. Everyone saw the **** teams we play this year and went 'easy schedule', not realizing that yes, this is still a quite ****ty team, with a lot of holes. It's not getting fixed overnight, or even this year. Mike Tubagoo Onwenu is still making 20 million this year and next. Stevenson is 12 million dead cap this year, and 8 million still next year. Kyle Dugger and the 15 snaps he's getting a game is getting 15 million. Vrabel didn't sign these contracts, they're legacy. Not only do you have to replace the holes we currently have, but you have to replace the holes those money sinks are going to create going forward as well.

It's just not going to happen in an offseason, it's just not.

The good? This team has unquestionably improved. Milton Williams and Harold Landry were big time improvements. Campbell looks good too. He's a rookie and will make mistakes but he's going to be fine long term and is LT of the future. Wilson is a starter. Woodson is looking good. Carlton Davis is a big improvement over what we had. He did pretty well on DK yesterday. Drake has taken a step forward. Josh is a proven OC who has us moving the ball substantially better than last year.

The bad? Despite all those improvements this roster still needs a lot of help. Our LBs stink, we're thin at CB with Gonzales out, the WRs are awful. And let's be clear.... YES, you need WRs to win. Pop is not a player worthy of so many snaps and opportunities. Give Chism or Williams more snaps and opportunities.

Pats schedule is the softest I've ever seen so the season is far from over. Pats are a young, inexperienced, under talented team so no game is a gimme but they'll win their share. I still see 8 wins

Well, obviously Josh knew if we had run it we would have fumbled it in the endzone.

Turnovers aren't a fluke, who recovers a fumble could be said to be random so if you put the ball on the ground 15 times and recover 12 of them that's a fluke and won't last.

Stevensons inability to hold onto the ball isn't a fluke it's a fatal flaw in his game that's been on show for a year and a half.

Tons better based on beating the Dolphins? If we go 3-0 against Carolina, New Orleans and Tennessee i'll give you that it's tonnes better and on the way to .500 season and big signs of improvement but we're a loss next week away from this being another top 10 picking season.
Vrabel = Mayo

This was never going to be a 1 year thing it's going to take at least 2 seasons to get the roster in a better position. Like Vrabel said need to get guys you draft to a second contract and that is what he's establishing. I agree those ****ty contracts to guys they will have to be dealt with. The thinking of the team being better was going by the suck we've all witnessed the last few seasons.

Well said FF23,

I'll add to that... Spillane is solid and dependable.. we need to play Marty next to him.. Ellis is serviceable but he's a depth player realistically. Minus gonzo everyone has been playing in a different pecking order. Austin is a liability, Marcus everytime he's lined up on the outside he struggles, Davis played well and literally shut down DK in the second half. We NEED gonzo. Agreed on pop and Chism.. pop shouldn't be benched but make Chism active and allow him some snaps. Henderson should be the lead back...

Tough loss, but long term there were really good signs. The defense got off to a slow start, but that second Steelers drive got a touchdown was ********, they got screwed by the Clete ****ing Blakeman crew. After that they played a great game. Drake Maye is the real deal, they have their franchise QB, and that’s the most important piece of the puzzle, now build a true contender around.

2.5 yac.

Not good enough
September 21, 2025, Rhamondre Stevenson leads the NFL in fumbles, with 8 fumbles tied with Austin Ekeler and Kyren Williams since the 2023 season. He recently had two fumbles in a loss to the Pittsburgh Steelers, which put him in this lead position for the current period.
