Wow, doesn't it feel like Shula was WAY older than Carroll when he was still coaching, and definitely Marv Levy... But you're saying both those guys were younger than Carroll but looked 10 or 20 years older??
I'm not a bettor either but wild guess they were smokers during their lives and didn't take care of themselves physically (fitness and diet) also.

It’s raining, should be a big day for Rhamondre.

No Gonzo is such a bummer of a way to start the Vrabel era. Far from ideal as they try to right the ship after consecutive 4-13 seasons.
I fear that "No Gonzo" will define his time with the Patriots. Injury prone and heals slowly.

Northern New England, well north of Boston. It's so dry that leaves are changing early,The Japanese lilacs are losing their leaves. For the first time ever I've had to run a hose into my little frog pond for a few hours once a week or so. I reseeded a part of my pasture: now it's just dust. We have to water the garden every evening. Really dry. It rained a little last night, but not enough to get into the ground. Fortunately I have a drilled well. People with dug wells are running dry.
Oh nice! Maine? NH? Preferably i enjoy south of Boston moreover to visit. Boston is home but it's no longer the city i once knew and grew up in that was family oriented. I'm surprised your not getting much precipitation as this rain has been all over the east coast from my understanding.

..

It's a good thing I don't bet, because I have no idea which team is going to win this thing. I can convince myself pretty easily of either outcome. Because I think our team really is in the process of getting better and has the advantage of a promising young QB and a very sound coaching staff, top to bottom, I think the Pats will win. Because it's pretty clear to me that aside from some serious weaknesses on defense Oakland has the better starting players, I think they'll win, though I suspect that might just be PTSD after our last few seasons, which have been a complete crapfest. I think Drake is going to be very good, but that this point, Oakland probably has the better QB.

So I picked Oakland, but I think I'm probably wrong. As I said, I have no idea who will win.

What a dumb post, eh?

PS: I just noticed that I called 'em "Oakland." Is there an award for worst post of the week?
The only thing that gives me pause in my confidence in a patriots win is that peter carroll is a very good coach

I think Geno is better than people are giving credit for, too. He’s not great, but he’s good enough to win.
He showed that last year when he carved up a mayo coached defense. Is why we have to get in his face all game.

Sadface, but what current nfl QB is NOT good enough to defeat the 2025 Patriots ?

He probably still has nightmares about playing the pats that could haunt him when he hits the field

Lousy weather for football today.

They haven't even played 1 down, why are they so pathetic already?
Do you have 2 personalities, the other being Dunderhead?

Fkn guys are ridiculous.

well, here's a list:
Jets, Browns, Colts, Jags, Titans, Giants, Falcons, Panthers, Saints, Vikings, Cardinals
And thankfully we play 7 of them (Jets x2). That's 8 games with very beatable QB's.

Bold Prediction: we will win all of those games
Then we only need 2 of: MIA x2, BUF x2, LV, PIT, TAM, CIN, BAL - to have a shot at playoffs

A win today will make that very possible.

Our D was very bad last year, and the pass rush was abysmal. So not going to crown him for that game.
Geno had a good completion percentage and over 4300 yds, but his td/int ratio 21/15 (1.4 to 1) is very very pedestrian.
For Context, Maye's td/int ratio of 15/10 (1.5 to 1) was better....as a rook.....with horrible weapons...an abomination of an O-line, and next level garbage coaching.
Geno is a fine player, that's about it.
