Steve he started.

Not compared to you two going back an forth for a full page.
Feel free to fekkin' mute us then. Dude takes his ribbing pretty good natured, unlike... well... you know.

That's what he recorded at his pro day. I have no reason to doubt it.
The question is, is that actually the best he can do in games? I believe it was Rodney Harrison who said something like "some 4.8 guys become 4.4 guys on game day, and some of those 4.4 guys become 4.8 guys"?

straight line speed is overrated. Chism is quick where he needs to be, in and out of breaks....etc. He's not going to run by you, and he's not running away from anyone in a race, but much like Kupp, that won't stop him from getting open and being productive.

Well that'll be impossible to prove until we see him on gameday. If he's running away from CBs on a deep route then this axiom is probably true. If he's not returning punts or running deep routes, then his 4.7 is probably a 4.7 and we should just enjoy his ability to use his quickness rather than speed to get open.

I'm going with either 5 or even 6 active WRs

I think one of the things Vrabel/McDaniels has going for them in this game is keeping the other team off guard with a lot of different looks. I think he's going to want to see as many WRs get actual game time with Maye as possible which is what they ultimately will want to do for the season, spreading the offense and keeping Ds a step behind.

I also think that Mack Hollins will get a decent number of targets and will become a gritty fan favorite

I would like at least 5. I really want to see Williams. If 5, I would sit Chism week one, his time will come.

Says the guy who is throwing a tantrum over being told to get a room with a TON of laughing emojis..

It's clear to everyone who is projecting here.

With the injury report that Woods was a limited participant in practice I’m more inclined to think he’ll be inactive. That may open up the sixth WR slot. Or, who’s the best PS CB to activate in his place?

I think he sets up routes well and can create separation based on head on nods and hip twitch. He is also very quick out of his breaks and that will create some separation as well. As long as he has learned to attack leverages, he will be great on slants, speed outs and crossers/digs.

There are several big fast guys that do not have a nuanced approach and try and win strictly on athleticism. Chism could play Z but he will have to win on nuance.

I agree, but I think his ability to leverage defenders is actually his strongest trait. I think learning the nuances of where everyone else is on every play, and how to exploit that is where his learning curve will be.

Yeah let's forget all that running and blocking nonsense. Let's take the NFL by storm and unviel the new 10 wide formation. Receivers receiving options galore! All Maye has to do is avoid the 1 free rusher and somebody will get open. We can call it the 1000 formation cuz that's how many points we'll score.

Agree completely. And I’ll never forgive Wolf for taking Maye when he could have taken Marvin Harrison Jr. and built around him. You wouldn’t even need a QB, just use your long snapper, turn him to face the defense, and then snap the ball to wherever Marvin is running his routes.

Will be active and Williams will get a few snaps too.
