NE is a team that knows it is not where PHL is.

NE is trying to be where PHL is now two years from now.

NE wants a guy who is on his way up now and will be peaking two years from now.

PHL is already up and wants a guy who can do his job and add stability, and doesn't care that he has no more upside left.

NE is all about the upside.

PS: Two years is an optimistic point of view, it's probably three or more.

I can't believe it's been a month for Gonzo! Man, that went fast. And, if you recall, he was getting beat quite a bit, because he's a slow ramp-up kind of guy when it comes to practicing. But, I hope they're really nursing that hammy, and that it's long been better. Usually the young guys would already have played in games if this was the regular season.

First of all, when he was selected he was widely praised as an excellent pick and value locally and nationally.

Second of all, it’s a 4th round pick. We shouldn’t get our underwear in a bunch when a 4th round pick doesn’t pan out after a year. Go check how many other teams’ 4th rounders are still rostered after 1-2 years.

It was weird that Baker deleted his Patriots social media, and then made the 53, and then was quickly cut, and is not on the PS. Guys on the 53 are almost always put on the PS. Odd series of events. Something happened.

Looking at how much talent this team still needs... it's amazing that we won as many as 4 games last season.

Don’t forget that one of the “wins” was against a restrained Bills team and another was against a sleepy Bengals team opening the season. They also beat a Bears team that lost 10 straight and a five win Jets team.
