Edelman shared a short pump-up video to his social media accounts along with a photo from practice this week.

During a video conference call Tuesday, Edelman talked about the change in his practice routine this summer as he’s been given more “rest days” than years past despite not dealing with any injury.
“I’ve been playing here, this is my 12th year, this is the first time I’ve really done this, We don’t talk about health here. I don’t even know if I can,” he said. “So, I don’t want to, you know — we don’t talk about that.”
Edelman then referenced the difference this summer with no joint practices or preseason games to prepare for.
“I think you know you’re ready is through how you feel after you compound days and days and weeks and weeks of good practicing and good habits,” he said. “That’s when you usually put yourself in the best situation, the best feeling to go in feeling ready. That’s what I think on that. Just continually trying to stack good practices and good prep together. It’s a different experience. We haven’t gotten to go out and play anyone.”
On Wednesday, head coach Bill Belichick also discussed some changes with Edelman, nothing he will return fewer punts in 2020.
“Obviously, we have a couple guys back there with experience,” Belichick told the Boston Globe’s Jim McBride. “Julian [Edelman] as a punt returner has done that throughout his career, but that’s something that we haven’t used him as much on as in the past, and I think that’s probably the right thing to do.”
Despite all the change, Edelman is ready to go.
