If Gonzo isn't out there next Wednesday then it's concerning. No need for him to be out there right now if he's not 100 percent.
Yeah. Unfiltered just said they were starting to get concerned.

The whole Felger and Mazz discussion always intrigues me. They are to Boston sports what the WWE is to wrestling. Sure, they’re technically talking sports, but it is mainly entertainment. Manufactured drama and nonsense, but I at least usually find them entertaining. They flat out tell you that some (most) of what they say are just takes for the show, and one of the things Felger says on a daily basis is "We have a show to do today," which basically means he knows he is throwing out a hot take and that there is a good chance he is wrong, but they have to entertain people in that moment.

I honestly think Felger could name about 5 current Patriots right now off the top of his head. I like the show because I don't listen for insight or analysis; I listen to be entertained and have something on in the background of my workday. My only real critique is how little any of them contradict Felger. Jim Murray will on occasion, but Mazz almost never does, but on the rare instance it happens, it makes for some of their best radio.e

The problem is this is what some of find entertaining and its gone completely gone off the hook. We worship stupidity now rather than intelligence and FWIW kindness. The 6th grade bullies who used to be stuck pumping gas are now driving the train.

I mean it has to be of some concern that he's missed more than a month and still isn't 100%.

I agree with your post as a whole about how cruelty seems to be en vogue the last few years but I think sports radio was already cruel and negative well before our current ****show of a society. Not that it necessarily makes it okay but I don’t think Felger and Mazz have gotten caught up in some recent wave I think they just follow the format that was there decades prior.

Lazar thought he would be participating the last 2-3 practices that were closed to the public so nobody could see if he was slow or whatever. Since that didn't happen....concern.

I get there's always been stupidity but it used to be much more fringe than mainstream. I'm not loving my analogy but for arguments sake I'd compare Dr Demento to pop music. Stupidity and ignorance have always had their tiny minority of supporters but it's grown significantly. Maybe the comparison would be better between levels of the food pyramid. The tip is running the diet.

I can't believe it's been a month for Gonzo! Man, that went fast. And, if you recall, he was getting beat quite a bit, because he's a slow ramp-up kind of guy when it comes to practicing. But, I hope they're really nursing that hammy, and that it's long been better. Usually the young guys would already have played in games if this was the regular season.

I the wheelchair man back yet?? You know how we gett off on him.

I completely agree with you on this part. Social media has multiplied the ability to spread misinformation and disinformation at a rapid pace and stupidity, cruelty, and ignorance seems to be the norm for far too many.

hammys they have to take all the time in the world to heal, I wouldn't be surprised if he miss regular season games

That would make 4 DTs on the Patriots practice squad potentially. Interesting as interior DL is one of their strongest spots on the roster.

Barmore, Milton, Farmer, Tonga, Pharms..... You could also argue size wise White is closer to an interior guy than an edge guy in our D.

Then on the PS they have David Olajiga and Jahvaree Ritzie who are two guys i thought they really liked. I would hate to see them cut either as both have upside.

If they are keeping all 4 that is a huge log jam with not much room for new guys. I expect Barmore, Milton and Farner to be here long term. White is here 2026 if they want him fairly cheaply. Same for Pharms. Tonga may walk, but they easily have the cap space to resign him. Maybe they'd want to go in a different direction due to his age. But they could be in a spot where they have DT set for next season.

They have so many DT's on the PS....maybe they are planning on converting one to G. I don't know if that's ever successfully worked though.
