wow

i woulda done that deal
Just My 2 cents... of course a player like Parsons changes the landscape of any D.. negatives.. injuries last few seasons.

I think Vrabel, streich, Cowden,Highsmith... and.. oh ah.. wolfie.. likely said

" guys we would love to move on MP.. however we are setting year one of the program.. we have to pay gonzo and Drake soon.. probably best to roll with the guys we have.. for now"... And next off season after winning 10 games.. we would be a more attractive destination for top tier guys...

they would rather pay dak than micah??

With those 2 extra 1s Dallas has the ammo to move up to get Daks replacement in a stronger qb class.

I know this was to pump Micah, but boy look at Aaron Donald

2300+ snaps, from the DT position, and hanging with with pure pass rushers

That guy might actually one of the Goats next to T. Lawrance
Donald said he'd come out of retirement if the rams traded for MP

Dallas did fine in this trade. Cowboys are 1-3 in the playoffs since 2021 which includes 2 WC exits. Their team is absolute crap right now and weren't going anywhere with Parsons.

Eagles fans get to celebrate yet again. No team in their way for the division.
Commies won't get that lucky again this season. Regression to the mean in effect...

If you're GB yeah, they believe this makes them contenders and those 1st round picks will be in the 28-32 range. If you believe that then hell yeah you make the deal. From Jerruh's standpoint he gets to save face, a team made him a 'Godfather' offer of 2 first and a starter how could he say no?

honestly, i didn't think he'd do it, trade him... even cincy coughed up dough for hendrickson... figured jerry would stick to his guns

Parsons is a beast and he is only 26. Sure there is injury concern, but during his time in Dallas he was that defense heart and soul and terrorized all linemen in the league.

Packers gonna be a solid team and they will definitely be a playoff team.

Yikes, $47 mill. I would like to see belichick's old chart that allocated $$ per position. I can understand quarterback getting crazy money, but seems like giving to a pass rusher, and QB, and #1 receiver, just can't work. Right? so Dallas kinda had to do it, and then what they got back makes sense.

We’re not a team that can give up two 1’s right now.

You have to be Super Bowl ready to make that move.

Well, if they draft an edge in the first round then you could look at it as more of 1 first rounder, as you were using one on the same position. However the contract is ridiculous. Great player, but I wouldn’t have given all that for him.

Packers had to do it to compete in a very tough division. What they gave up is not much for the best defensive player in the NFL in his prime. Other than the money of course.

Packers need Jordan Love to take the next step or it won't matter but they tied themselves to Love so at this point you got to go all in.

I know Parsons is a bit of a head case and can be an issue off the field, but Cowboys should have and could have signed him if Jerry didn't mess it up.

Made no sense for Patriots to do this trade. They have very thin roster depth in year 1 of a rebuild.
For those that think they would not have to give up two # 1's you are just 100% wrong. Packers over/under was at 9.5 wins, Pats at 8.5 wins. With Parsons Pats are likely a playoff team and in the 20's pick. Mainly because the schedule is not tough. No chance Cowboys were taking 1 pick unless you are trading them Gonzalez.

I doubt Barmore gets the job done on the trade because of the blood clot history. Kenny Clark is an older player but still near pro bowl caliber. We don't have anyone like that. Not sure we would want to beat the Packers trade offer besides the fact the timing just makes little sense.
