Ten WR's are 2 too many and 9 OLmen is one too few. I also think we are short one RB and a TE/FB I wasn't all impressed with Westover as a runblocker at either position.

The Pats don't have 10 WRs.
They have 8.

Polk doesn't count because he's on Season ending IR.

Lampkin had a good preseason but he’s 5’10. Fullback? Overachiever play on him on the line Rudy type? If he dies he dies?

So he's a hair shy of 5'11. He weas handling guys who were 6'6-6'8 NO PROBLEM at the Senior Bowl. It's about leverage. And he does a helluva job of it.

Reading your post and it just dawned on me that one of those RBs has the potential to put up better receiving numbers than like 4 or 5 of those WRs too. Maybe more.

Convert Willie lampkin as a blocking tight end and quasi fullback. And see if he can get converted to a center or left guard . He is a project worth investing. Get Bourne, Westover and baker out. We don't need 6 wide receivers. Get one more blocking tight end with passing upside to develop behind Henry and hooper.

We can use all the power on left side and go bonkers in running .

If lampkin turns into a stud Olinemen we would have found 4 rookie linemen who will be long term starters for pats.

Use this year to develop depth.

At 5-10, 280 lbs, he is not playing LG in this league. C/FB is realistically where he could find a place. He's definitely got NFL heart and effort.

So how many on this roster are still in danger of being cut? Bourne, Baker, Westover, Mapu? Maybe a guy like Pharms or Pettus? Just trying to think of the total amount of potential movements we could see.
