Old Friend Jakobi Meyers reportedly wants out of Vegas

I would swap out every single one of those receivers for Meyers though I’d want to keep Williams to see what he can become.

I am glad that you would, but the team wouldn't. How about being realistic?

Dude already has $136M in career earnings.

I never said they would. I said I would because I’m giving an opinion.

How about you get the sand of your vag?

I wish we could fix the idiots like you in this forum, but we can't do that. Getting my sand out would be so much easier than getting people like you to post something worth while. Oh well. It is what it is.

He had 75% of his production last year in 3 games.

This is like saying Deitrich Wise is a solid pass rusher because of his 8 sack season, when 4 came in one game.
You mean 33.98% of his production in 3 games.

VS Cinci - 105 yards 0 TDs
VS Denver - 121 yards 0 TDs
VS LAC - 123 yards 1 TD

They were ALL losses. Vegas won 4 games too and was the 2024 NFL 29th ranked offense.

Meyers turns 29 in November. Of course he wants to cash in.

Who else can the Pats bring back?

3rd qb. Mac Jones? Maye would have to give up his number.

If this is how he is thinking, I think we see why him and the Raiders aren't on the same page.

The Raiders aren't one 28 year old WR2 away from making things happen, especially not one thinking he should get $60M for two years.
and the Pats are? why waste draft capital on a team that is obviously rebuilding

Meyers has a case for a pay increase, but he also has zero leverage as the Raiders can just cut his ass and save $10.9M against a $3.99 dead cap hit.

Cooper Cupp is on the decline and he's getting $17M in 2025. Christian Kirk has been an absolute failure (not shocked) and is getting paid $16.5M. Darius Slayton is getting pad $13M this season for his putrid stats. Raiders should seriously consider trading him.

I like Meyers, but the Pats don’t need a possession WR. They need a true #1 X WR. The Pats have Diggs who will pretty much fit the possession WR role now. Hollins is another possession WR too.

Two different receivers, no? That's what would concern me in that trade. I'm losing a type of receiver, particularly an end-zone threat. Then again, we still have at least.

And honestly I keep forgetting about Diggs... Hmmm...
Hollins has 15 TDs on 7 years. Meyers has 20 in 6.

Hollins has been on the field for 2142 pass plays and has 168 rec for 2182 yards. You read that correctly he average 1 yard per route run.

Meyers has been on the field for 2855 pass plays and has 393 rec for 4592 yards.

If each played 500 pass plays
Meyers would have 69 catches for 804 yards
Hollins would have 39 catches for 509 yards

Yes they surely are 2 different WRs

That’s not true.

Is that a big enough difference to give up draft capital and shell out more cash to make Meyers happy?

I wouldn't be against it.

Will he still want out now that Kenny Pickett is on his way to LV ? Haha.

It’s an enormous difference. Is a staring Wr catching 69 passes better than one who catches 39?
He’s almost twice as productive per snap.

Too bad this news didn’t come out a day or two ago so I could have had pipe dream fantasies of a three way trade between the Pats, Commanders, and Raiders sending McLaurin to the Pats, Meyers and a high draft pick to the Commanders and a mid round pick to the Raiders.

Here I’ll add J’marr Chase 2857/440/6013
Per 500 snaps Chase is about +10% receptions and +30% yards on Meyers.
Meyers is +75% receptions and + 60% yards on Hollins.

The gap between Hollins and Meyers is MUCH greater, at least double, the gap between Meyers and the best WR in the NFL.

Dugger for a Meyers trade is simply a money dump for a rental. I'd get it number-wise if it's a pure money move, but it doesn't make a hell of a lot of sense otherwise for the Patriots.

Also thanks Rickey and your thousand followers. Wonder if he ran this by Incarcerated Bob?
