They'll likely try to stash him on the PS. Pats at #4 on the waiver order are in a good spot to claim him if they want. He has experience and I think he's an upgrade over what we have behind Maye.

Nope. Not exactly comparing the cream of the crop. Woolridge was pretty disappointing last night: a short, not-very-agile pocket passer is gonna have trouble. I think we can certainly do better than Dobbs. I guess some say he's consistent and reliable or something. "Knows the system." Looks consistently and reliably sub-par to me. Back-ups! No end of trouble.

He was drafted in 2022 and played under Matt Patricia, Bill O'Brien and Alex Van Pelt - he hasn't worked with McDaniels himself, nor Vrabel or any of the other guys on the offensive staff. Perhaps BOB could give Vrabel and McDaniels some intel but there's not a direct relationship.

That's the key IMHO. Watch and see who gets cut now. Anyone with the relationship is likely going to have an inside track, assuming there's ability left in the tank.

Somebody didn't watch the finale with Cleveland last year. He was absolutely awful, which is unfortunate because I was hoping he'd pull off the upset against the Ravens that day. That was probably one of the worst games I've ever seen him play, and his arm strength was even worse than I remember.

Also, he's 11-of-21 (52.4%) for 79 yards this preseason with 0 TDs and 2 INTs

Here are his numbers:
at Arizona: 8/17 (47%) 70yds 2 INTs
at Seattle: 3/4 (75%) 9yds

Their current finale is scheduled for tonight at 8:20pm at Chicago. So, if you've got Zappe fever and nothing else to do tonight, you can tune in and watch him.
