He got guaranteed 3.5 million or something. He doesn't need to work for life . These folks are rich beyond measure.Dobbs should join Sidy Sow at filling out Dunkin's applications.

You are confusing Mahomes/Zappe with Jones/Purdy.
This guy is actually an aeronautical engineer and worked in NASA or something like that. So actually a very very high IQ person.Sure, if they don't piss it all away, like many do.
Nope. Not exactly comparing the cream of the crop. Woolridge was pretty disappointing last night: a short, not-very-agile pocket passer is gonna have trouble. I think we can certainly do better than Dobbs. I guess some say he's consistent and reliable or something. "Knows the system." Looks consistently and reliably sub-par to me. Back-ups! No end of trouble.I always thought he was Mac's equal. That's not necessarily a good thing. I did like him better than Mac. I like Wooldridge better than Mac. Again, that's not a good thing.
Yes, it is preposterous to think Dobbs is ready. He should have played the first half to see if he can be on time and show any accuracy.Dobbs should have played last night.
He was ONE injury awayHe's going to get cut? I thought he was going to supplant Mahomes.
Does McDaniels have ties to Dobbs or Woolridge?I think if Zappe gets cut, I think the Pats could really use him. I hear the Pats have had the darnedest time fulfilling the vacant cashier position at the gift shop.
Sorry Zappe sucks. McDaniels has no ties to him. He won’t be a fit into how McDaniels is revising the offense to fit Maye’s skills. He isn’t the type of QB you would want behind Maye.
It'd be different this time. It's one thing to clamor for Zappe over Mac, but absurd to favor Zappe over Maye. Zappe time would be garbage time.GDammit. If they bring him back and I have to hear all the Zappe clowns on this board again, I’m going to lose my ****.
That's the key IMHO. Watch and see who gets cut now. Anyone with the relationship is likely going to have an inside track, assuming there's ability left in the tank.Zappe is probably better in this scheme than Dobbs, but we should remember that this staff has no relationship with Zappe. He was drafted in 2022 and played under Matt Patricia, Bill O'Brien and Alex Van Pelt - he hasn't worked with McDaniels himself, nor Vrabel or any of the other guys on the offensive staff. Perhaps BOB could give Vrabel and McDaniels some intel but there's not a direct relationship.
Somebody didn't watch the finale with Cleveland last year. He was absolutely awful, which is unfortunate because I was hoping he'd pull off the upset against the Ravens that day. That was probably one of the worst games I've ever seen him play, and his arm strength was even worse than I remember.I was just going to post that...I prefer Zappe to what we have currently as Backups.
I vaguely remember he had a couple of nice passes in the opening drive and that was pretty much it.Somebody didn't watch the finale with Cleveland last year. Also, he's 11-of-21 (52.4%) for 79 yards this preseason with 0 TDs and 2 INTs
Here are his numbers:
at Arizona: 8/17 (47%) 70yds 2 INTs
at Seattle: 3/4 (75%) 9yds
Their current finale is scheduled for tonight at 8:20pm at Chicago. So, if you've got Zappe fever and nothing else to do tonight, you can tune in and watch him.
