What kind of crap is Perry stirring?

Doesn't really seem like his normal behavior to stir things up. But I also don't buy that there is a problem was Diggs/Diggs camp just screwing with him and he bought it?

Seems like Perry is butthurt because Diggs made a joke at his expense and he looked like an idiot in front of Vrabel.

I like Perry but I don’t like this innuendo style of reporting. Give the public actual facts, not “there are little signs that he’s becoming a pain in the [ass].”
I think Perry was just annoyed and venting. It's preseason for the reporters, too.

So we have two players, Strange and Dugger, playing well below their previous levels. Both had severe injuries and Dugger may not be a fit for the Vrabel scheme. Strange was a competent guard, even if he was overdrafted.
Predictions for these two?

Diggs is on record as saying he's 100% ready to go per DMC.

He makes an appearance to practice late which we learned was attributed to some extra rehab work WHICH PERRY REPORTED. Vrabel holds him out of a preseason game which we assume is related to going slow with him.

I like Perry but i'm attributing his characterization of Diggs and the team's relationship as having an off day of reporting.

Campbell is getting better... but is still susceptible to an inside move ... needs to work on that a bit
Agreed.. from now on out it's all about him getting better with each practice and each game as the season goes along here

Agreed. I believe Campbell is getting more and more comfortable as he adapts the the NFL. Week 1 starts off with Crosby for him.. being that it's the first game and he has all preseason to prepare for him I can see him holding his own. It's said Campbell has the strongest hands on the OL.. Moses is a stop gap as is Bradbury, Wilson and Campbell will be the perennial studs in the future going forward. Onwenu has had a bounce back camp and will be solid.. we'll see going forward.. I think Bryant is the likely guy to end up being the RT down the line.. I think before some of these local media outlets starts harsh criticism of this years OL they need to go back and watch last years..
Let's hope Bryant is serviceable when Moses' knee acts up because it will just like last year.

Agree except for Lowe. I believe he is a serviceable pass blocker, back up left tackle.
He has been awful his whole career. I mean backup OL at this stage of the NFL either stink or are developing. Is Lowe on of the 100 best OTs in the NFL (2 starters and 1 bs to per team) I doubt it and by the end of the season when rookies and 2nd year guys have a year of development under their belt, no.
The next guy behind him whoever that may be won’t be much, if any of a drop off.
I get keeping him around because he has experience but he stinks.

I would add a caveat to that... Its about him and Jared Wilson, who has to be the leading candidate to start at LG, learning to communicate effectively, and them getting better with each practice and each game...

My biggest concern on Defense is stopping the run, they seem so determined to get to QB, it was either Barmore or Williams that said we don’t have to worry about reads, it’s just meet in the backfield.
I initially had that concern as well.. I recently saw Vrabel doing and interview talking about how is ask his guys up front to run the ball and stop the run..

Between Landry, Barmore, Williams, Spillane, Tonga.. if we can't stop the run with those guys then we are in trouble.

Campbell will get destroyed against Crosby if he's not getting much help on the line. And that's ok because he WILL bounce back stronger. Campbell will be a good LT...but not week 1.
Positive note is that I don’t think Josh will leave him with no help.

That was an AVP quirk.

Curran & Perry are certainly playing the "keep the expectations low" side of the media. You have to tune out the sky is falling part of their shtick... BUT - the OL is very concerning at this point. We've supposedly had an entire offseason to address it, but it seems in as much disarray as it has for the last 4 years at this time. We don't know who will play what position just 3 weeks out.

Old guys are not proving to be trustworthy (Moses & Bradbury)
Young vets are still not stepping up or solidifying their spot (Strange, Wallace, Sow, Robinson, Jacobs)
Rookies are showing their inexperience and weakness (Campbell & Wilson & Bryant)

All that said, at this moment, here's what I'd go with for the majority of the season:
Campbell - Strange/Wallace - Brown - Onwenu - Bryant
I know they won't start like this - but Bradbury & Moses won't last. We'll need some experience at IOL if we go rookies at Tackle.

Maybe today is Tee Off on Diggs Day?

I'm hoping to hear that Maye is missing LOW instead of high soon.
Brady normally missed low, because of INTS over their arms, and protecting the receiver....
Hospital Balls will kill your team pretty quick.

JAT
Fivehead Manning, the King of the Hospital ball. As an aside imo it stinks that we are not able to tap Tom Brady's wisdom and expertise in an effort to help the Patriots. He's a part owner of LV, thank you Bobby Kraft

I get that it is preseason so need to take stuff with a grain of salt. The one thing about these joint practices is they get good looks at other players. With the Addison suspension, and looking at the rest of Minnys WR group, I could see them going after Chism after his practice efforts this week if we attempt to put on PS.

I would add a caveat to that... Its about him and Jared Wilson, who has to be the leading candidate to start at LG, learning to communicate effectively, and them getting better with each practice and each game...
Agreed. As I also mentioned they both are the future on the OL.. I try to ignore the monotonous reporting as I try to pay more attention to waht the coaches do. By Wilson and Campbell being in the starting lineup is confidence in them. Poor vederian lowe can't even Crack the 3rd team..
