I've made up my mind. What we saw on Friday (especially the catch-and-run on 1st-and-20) was enough to convince me that they have to keep Chism.

So it's Diggs, Douglas, Boutte, Williams, Hollins and Chism for me. I wish I could find a place for Bourne, but it's a business and they save $6m if they move on from him. Not important this year, but very important next.

Its tough because Baker is playing ST. That kid has really taken to Vrabel.

I just get a feeling that he will prolly have a 400-500 yard season with 4 TDs and Boutte and Pop will overtake him.

Pop might end up being our true WR1 and diggs might benefit from that . As for Williams I just feel he might underwhelm a bit this year. Chism will play above his weight and have prime amendola or Hogan kind of stats 300+ yards.

Henderson will be the absolute rockstar and stevenson will be bell cow with 800 yards rushing . Henry and hooper might also end up having middling but effective seasons. Henry 400 yards and hooper 200 yards.

On a sidenote jakobi meyers has 4500 receiving yards career so far just 2000 yards away from edelman . Should never have let him go away. Bad juju over pats team during that time of year . Pun intended.
That's an insult to Diggs. Those should be Kyle Williams Rookie numbers.

It's not about you.
You trigger me.

Williams for Baker. Still done, still fine. They're not keeping 7, unless some of them end up on IR all year. Maybe Baker can sneak through to the PS.
I don't think Baker would have to do any sneaking to make it through to the PS.

Considering they are run first and diggs will be double teamed I expect maybe to either pass more to Henderson or to pop or Chism or tight ends . Boutte might excel as the boundary receiver and get some huge runs which will elevate his stats . But diggs I don't expect much . I donno why, but I just get that vibes.

Here's what I think they might be looking at:

Pop/Chism= 1000 yards combined as slots
Diggs= 700 yards
Boutte= 600 yards
Henderson= 250 yards
Hollins= 300 yards
TE's= 450 yards
Misc= 150 yards

That's 3450 yards, and I'm assuming Drake doesn't play every snap, so he's probably 3300ish.

You reallllly don’t like Williams, do you?

Chism has been trending on social media for his catch at practice and game against Washington.

He will never sniff a practice squad.

I don’t know how to fit 7 WRs but they have to.
He would be claimed immediately. Do not chance that happening.

Chism has got something good about him.

Let the kid stay up and play. He's gonna reward us for keeping him.

My estimate:

- Douglas/Chism slot - 1000 yards
- Diggs - 700-800 yards
- Boutte/Williams - 1000 yards
- TEs (including Hollins as WR/TE) - 800 yards
- RBs - 300-400 yards
- Misc - 100 yards

Works out to about 3900-4000 yards passing.

If Hollins doubles as WR/TR3, then your offensive skill players look something like:

- WR Diggs
- WR Douglas
- WR Williams
- WR Boutte
- WR Chism
- WR/ST Baker
- TE Henry
- TE Hooper
- TE/WR Hollins
- RB Henderson
- RB Stevenson
- RB Gibson

That's 12 spots, leaving you plenty for QB and OL. You could potentially add Westover as a FB/TE, or substitute him for Baker.

My estimate

Douglas /Chism - 1300 yards
Diggs - -500
Boutte and williams -800
tight ends ( including hollins ) - 500 yards
running back - 400 yards

3500 yards total .

I don't think Maye is there yet, and especially if they are going to be a run first team. I think they'll be 2500 yards on the ground, and I think that Maye is going to be sub 3500, like Jordan Love was last year. That would put them just under 350 yards per game, and into the top 10-15 in NFL offenses. That would be quite the turn around. 4000 yards would put him in a very elite group, and they would certainly be a playoff team.

Let's hope you're more right than me.

That’s a good projection of the roster on offense, lets you carry 9 OL, 3 QB and leave 26 spots for the defense. While it’s only 3 RB, without Larison who else has done enough to earn a spot? Our 4th RB can be a PS player and a game day active as needed. Same with Westover really.

You could add Westover as a FB/TE and keep only 2 QBs or 8 OL.

There will be lots of maneuvering around last couple of spots.

I disagree. We are going to throw the ball a lot. Less than 200 yards a game from Maye would mean he stunk.

I'm taking him over the alternatives: give me Chism or give me death.
Hmm. Can I see how Baker does over the next two weeks and then get back to you on that?
(jk)

Just for comparison, the putrid 2024 Pats offense still managed to put up 1969 yards rushing and 3343 yards passing over 17 games. I don't think an extra 50 ypg passing (which would bring them past 4000) and 20 ypg rushing is out of the question.
