Mac Maye. I expected to hear and see about a guy slightly more polished than this.

Isn’t that the hope for all 32 left tackles, oops sorry, 31 tackles, Josh Simmons won’t even give up one QB pressure this season.

Sam’s “ logic” in starting this thread was that Simmons is better because he could become the Chef’s starting left tackle, missing completely the fact that Will Campbell already is the Patriots starting left tackle.

Pretty ironic given this team is the most successful franchise of this century.

Some people just can't be happy with what they have.

Define “steal”. He was drafted where he was projected to be drafted and generally considered a top 3 RB in his class.

That will never happen. No amount of proof will ever get Triumph to stop hating.

Because the majority is just sick and tired of the level of stupidity found in your posts. Its not about differing opinions; its about the massive shockwave of delusion you create. Your posts don't add value. They leave people scratching their heads wondering what in the world is wrong with you.

And you seriously don't get it. So, a player who fell in the draft because of health concerns and character problems, and you are claiming that he is better than our #4 pic because of training camp? Neither have actually played in an NFL game yet, and Simmons is now the steal of the draft and in a different tier than Campbell. That is complete and utter delusional nonsense.

Could Simmons turn out to be better than Campbell? Sure, that is possible, but training camp isn't proving that. The dudes actually have to play this thing called football games. But you act like its already happened. "Will Campbell will not be in the same top tier as Simmons."

You're just "stimulating some discussion" by saying Simmons has apparently looked amazing in Chiefs practices days into training camp as some kind of proof that he was the obvious better choice, in their rookie seasons no less, but later dismiss Campbell's performance against the Commanders because a preseason game is just a "glorified scrimmage?" How does that work exactly?

There's nothing wrong with an opinion as long as basic reasoning and fairness goes with it. If I start a thread saying I'd like to see the Pats trade for Michah Parsons because he could take our defense to the next level, that's reasonable. But if I start a thread saying the Pats obviously don't care about winning because they have yet to trade a conditional 4th round pick for Parsons and extend him with a 5 year, $75 million deal, I'm just being ridiculous.

It's obvious you aren't going to grade the two players on the same curve if practice success makes Simmons great, but we have to wait for Campbell to look good for an entire regular season game before saying anything.

And you also never explained how your hypothetical trade down to 15-20 for Simmons was supposed to work with zero trades up for 23 consecutive picks.
