Hollins As A Special Teamer

Who knows. Depends on the groupings and play calls. If they are going run-heavy (over 450 runs this year), Hollins is their best blocking WR.

If Williams isn't getting the offense he won't play a lot.

That would be ideal. Need players to validate the should be on the roster first.

Not sure why the Harry comparison is relevant. One guy has played in the NFL 7 years and 4500 career snaps the other sucks is out of football.
It’s relevant because if that. Harry ducked his way out of the league while being more productive catching passes per snap than Hollins. Tyquan Thornton is about equal. KJ Osborn was much higher.
And that is both Hollins last year and for his career.

I dont know why how many passes you catch per turns on the field would be an unimportant metric for wide receivers.

I don't know about that: Dobbs missed him twice wide open. I hope Maye doesn't do the same.
I don’t think he isn’t getting the offense. That was kind of a yeah but what if argument.

Pretty sure we will be ok if Williams is wr4

This is going to be a run first team this year. Any WR who can excel at blocking is going to have an advantage, as is one who makes plays on specials. I agree with everyone else that it's Diggs, Pop, and Boutte top 3, and then Williams as the developmental guy because he's drafted by this administration. IMO, that leaves Hollins, Baker and Chism fighting for two spots. I doubt they'll carry 7, 6 seems about right, with a guy on PS. Based on reading the tea leaves so far, Hollins and Chism make it, Baker on PS, Polk to IR, everyone else is out.
FIFY.

It's a hypothetical ......and it's preseason.

Can't assume rookie WRs are going to regular contributors in an offense.

Kyle Williams Release package is Elite: he will be in the running for playing time.

I kinda do trust you on that, and that's saying something.

True but WR4 isn’t really a regular contribution the way McD runs his offense.
If he’s dumber than a box of Polks and can’t get in the field, there still isn’t a big difference between Hollins and even a street FA for those few opportunities

There is a reason Hollins he is on the field which is the same reason he has played in the league 7 years.

What those 3 guys did on a per snap basis is irrelevant because their overall value to an NFL roster is limited or non-existent.

So you'd cut Hollins for NKeal Harry?

Being able to get open and catch passes is very relevant to a WR. Why would you think it’s not?
You realize this is his 5th team in 5 years right, so he isn’t very far ahead of those guys.

4 play regularly, more make the roster
But you said that when NE signed Diggs and drafted Williams that Hollins was out.

Diggs, Douglas, Williams, ?

You said that 32 yesr old WRs don't make a WR4.
