Yep. I bet they keep 6 WRs.

I wouldn't be surprised if Hollins starts on PUP/IR and they keep 2 of the 5 you mention w Hollins on IR.

I don't see Bourne making it.
If the other WRs are capable in the offense than Polk or Baker makes it over Bourne for cap and age reasons,

Sucks cause Bourne is one to cheer for.

Diggs, Douglas, Boutte, Williams, Chism, Baker, Polk, Bourne released or traded.Hollins on short term IR.

He's not making plays at all. You would think he would be more visibility being a Vet.

PFF and profootballrefernce have his CB snaps at 141, which although is not a ton of snaps, it's significant enough to make basic projections. Where did you get your snap counts from?
Pro football reference. 60 snaps all season on defense.
Are you looking at Marcellus Dial?

Edit You appear to be looking at Isaiah Boldens snaps

If Hollins is on pup you might as well just cut him. Having zero practices with the team in the entire preseason would make him useless.

He’s definitely competing with those two guys primarily for a job. Diggs / Pop / Boutte / Williams feel like locks. So Polk, Bourne, Hollins, Chism and Baker are competing for between 1 and 3 jobs. Assuming, of course, no injuries.
The interesting question is how long it takes Williams to take WR2 from Boutte.
Hollins seems to be a lock for blocking and special teams play.
Last spot I’d say the chances go in this order.
Polk (he gets the spot if it’s an unneeded developmental guy)
Bourne (he gets it is Boutte and Williams are shaky)
Baker
Chism (he is destined for the practice squad)

Only a few day into camp but he needs to produce big time as he is a big time cap savings if he doesn't.

Could happen.

Not sure on Chism being destined for the PS. He's the type of guy that could excel in pre-season and I fear he wouldn't clear waivers, especially since we know injuries happen and some teams will be looking for a WR.

I think it’s very unlikely. I don’t think they would have signed him if his injury was that severe. What do you do with a guy who doesn’t show up until opening day or later, because if he can’t get in the field before opening day it would be a shocker he’s ready to go immediately.

He will clear waivers.
There are dozens of WRs who get cut that are better prosoects

Unlikely, yes. I agree if his injury drags his cap hit is minimal and can be absorbed if cut.

Is Bourne even running with the Ones? Or is he being kept out of sight with the twos & threes because Josh already knows him and what he can do?

Seems fair. Baker can push Polk for that last spot. Bourne is basically “one of our planned starters gets hurt” insurance. If all goes as expected then I’d say it’s most likely that Polk is the sixth on the roster, Bourne gets traded for a 6th, and Baker & Chism both go to the PS. Perhaps Bourne also makes it in place of Hollins if Hollins’ injury lingers and he starts the year on IR.

I could see some team like Houston claiming Chism, since Ben McDaniels is the WR coach, they like to feature the slot WR too and their guys are banged up or signed elsewhere (such as Diggs), but otherwise he’s probably safe unless he really explodes in preseason action. A lot of teams don’t really use the slot to the degree McDaniels does.

No way Bourne makes it this year . 7 million cap is toouch for wr4 on a non championship team at this point. If hollins is on IR they will just bank on him for latter half. Have a feeling they will keep 6 cut Bourne and move hollins to IR.

Diggs , Douglas, Boutte , Williams , Polk, Chism might make it . Baker will be cut and moved to PS. Unless baker outperforms Polk.

With Boutte and pop excelling in camp so far they must be confident they can make a decent run . So they will just roll with these folks and see if they can develop Chism for next 4 years. He could be pop insurance if pop becomes a stud and commands 20 million plus in 2027.

Diggs, Demario are the best WR’s they have. Boutte takes the other outside spot because he’s consistent and Maye likes him… but they really want Williams to take that spot.

Bourne is what he is, he’ll have to stay healthy and play special teams to earn a role… you’re correct, McD knows what he is.

I’m a bit frustrated by the lack of TE coverage to be honest. I want to know how guys like Dippre look. I guess few eyes are probably on them. At least Lampe is getting some buzz.

I disagree, but time will tell.

Looks really good for the rookie...Nice. Protection policy is here. Happy happy happy...Did the Oline bully the dline? Was there any 12 personal running game?

No idea. IMO it would be fair to Bourne if he could practice but...

Every team uses a slot WR, how much spends on the offensive strategy, but just as importantly the talent they have at slot. Again, I'm not making predictions but if he flashes in the pre, I don't see him clearing waivers. He was a very sought after rook FA.
