He’s closer to a DE that has the strength to shift inside on passing downs. He was 284 pounds leaving college.

Those guys are what teams are coveting these days.. strong, quick and agile guys that can move around on each down and confuse Gs and OTs.

We are a one gap D now.. shoot the gap and sack or pressure the QB or drop the back in the backfield. No more read and reaction hoping the QB makes a mistake. Bring the heat from the first snap and letting offenses know it's gonna be a long day.

The 2023 Patriots defense ranked #1 in the entire NFL in run defense (3.3 YPA)… but Barmore who led the team in snaps by a DT was a poor/average run defender… sounds legit.

Patriots fan forums… the only place great players can suck. Good grief….

Well don't give the forum so much truth wozzy you'll get some on here that don't like facts. Your absolutely correct, Barmore remained healthy that season and was able to tap into some of his potential.

I appreciate your positive attitude and love of the Pats, but you might want to dial it back a bit until we see some consistent results.

Like alot of us.. after basically 5 ****ty seasons.. I'm filled with hope and optimism. But I see your point we need to see some consistency and results on the field leading to wins. I've also mentioned in past posts it's important we try to get off to fast starts.. no more of this September is a extension of the preseason. I hated that thinking even when Brady was here. Stack wins, it will firmly instill belief and continued buy-in.
