Coach Vrabel addresses the team

Geez. You can see how much more organized and natural Vrabel is over Mayo. He isn't messing around.

And for the Christian reference for being on time. I've had coaches that just name players to make sure they were paying attention. It may not mean anything at all.

Gonzo better be on time

He'll be fine. He seems to have a quiet demeanor. Only players in the room know who Vrabel was addressing. It was either Gonzalez, Barmore or Ellis. Who do you guys think it is?

In Tennessee, Vrabel would call out the name of specific players who were leaders with stuff like this. It was to set an example. He would basically be kinda giving them crap and so other players lower on the totem pole would say “oh man he’s giving that guy crap and he’s way above me, I need to be on my game”.

As for who “Christian” is - it could be three different guys lol (Gonzalez, Barmore, Ellis). I am guessing it’s Gonzo though. He’s probably the most talented player on the roster right now and he has the mentality to take some ****.

That was the first thought that came to mind. This was why Bill went after Tom so much so nobody else could slack off. I'm not sure why Tom took it so personal after a while.

Solid. Like it.

But if you want to hear a coach that would make me wanna fun through a MF face, pull up basically any leaked Kirby Smart halftime talk.

Not sure that would play in the NFL but gets me fired up.

Yeah, Tom was Bill’s guy for sure. It definitely worked well for a very long time.

I do not think he was calling out the which ever Christian it was
He was just personalizing a point he was trying to make
He was like some of my past teachers that would call your name to engage you in her message
It makes it personal but also keeps you on your toes

Vrabel did that in Tennessee, calling players out by name to answer a question to make sure they’re on point. There was a funny Vrabel roast by former Titan Will Compton where he did a Vrabel impression and spoke the way he did in meetings.

Lack of appreciation. And both Brady and Giselle mentioned that when things went south. Belichick the hard ass worked as a coach, and they won more than any team has ever done. But the day in day out of Belichick being a **** had to wear on players, who had to put up with it all the time.

I love what I have seen from Vrabel. I think he surrounded himself with the right people, and he has clear vision of where he wants to get and how he plans on getting there. I also think he wants them to have the identity of a tough smart aggressive team, and he’s bringing in the players and systems to create that identity.

I think that sent a message about the NFLPA report on the team.

"Vrabel also went on to stress how he expected his players to show the 'utmost respect' to the training staff, equipment staff and kitchen staff. ".

I don't believe it's a coincidence that those 3 areas were 3 of the areas complained about.

Yeah, “calling out” in this particular situation isn’t the right phrasing - you’re right. He doesn’t know these guys well enough yet to call them out.

Yep. I don’t think he was calling them out, he was just using a method he will be using in team meetings, just as Belichick did, and in all likelihood most coaches use.

Re the training staff, kitchen staff and equipment staff: "They're not here to be your valet, your butler, your maid"... do players really treat them like that? Yikes
