If that happens then chism definitely makes the team over polk.
I think Chism would beat him out just because Chism/Polk would be the 6th WR on the depth chart
Chism wins that all day because of ST’s value

Agreed. But I saw something yesterday from Callahan that how Vrabel really likes Polk and wants to develop him. So if that is to be the case he probably sticks around at least 1 more season. Saying this only because N'Keal Harry who even asked to be traded, and Tyquan both stuck around for multiple seasons. Both high round picks like Polk. I think Chism makes this roster regardless. What i think is going to happen is Hollins probably starts camp on the PUP list. Chism gets more and more reps by camps end he beats out some veterans.

The quality of the prompt, the data sources and the LLM model are paramount. If you want a quality result, those better be right. And obviously, they weren't. I did a bit of AI myself in my younger days, and am very familiar with most of the LLM tools and with generative AI in general. Maybe I should do this right? I bet we could crowdsource a prompt here that would perform well. This could be a fun annual feature for the doldrums before training camp, and the feedback would be gold for the next iteration.
I recently had a conversation with CGPT about an important bit of strategic analysis for my work. The first answer it gave me was very affirming, really lifted my spirits. Then I woke up at 3 AM, turned the machine back on, and asked it if its analysis was just an aggregation of everything my sector has been saying in the past decade, based more on extrapolation and intuition than research. It's reply: "yes, that's what I did. I gave you back what you (writ large) have been putting out for information for the past decade." Then it asked me, "would you like the same analysis based only on proven, peer reviewed research?" Yes, yes I would. What I get back was different by about 40%.

This is ********. They were one of the worst team’s in football last season, and an optimistic projection for them is 9 wins. Calling that the minimum that’s acceptable is a deliberate attempt at setting them up to fail.

I love their offseason, coaching changes, and all the optimism surrounding them, and I’m hoping they are in the Wild Card race in December, but I’m sure as hell not going to label them as underachievers if they don’t reach that goal.

Nothing written here has anything to do with setting them up to fail, deliberate or not. That's a staggering bit of self importance.

Vrabel probably sees a talent factor in regards to Polk during his College years
He is building up Polk’s confidence to try and get the most out of him
Saying all that. I am sure that if he is not 1 of the top 6 WR’s at the end of training camp
Then Polk will be gone
It’s training camp time. A motivated Polk only pushes the WR room level of play a notch higher

Good points. Last season was a terrible year for the rookies at wr.. imagine what they probably were being told or not being told. It was a joke honestly. Polk had to play 5 weeks with Brissett wich really did nothing for his game as a rookie. Guys especially rookies need to catch the ball and be involved in the game. Even veterans. Polk issues are easily fixable. He's motivated and will be given every opportunity to thrive. If it doesn't work out I can see Vrabel trading him to a destination of his choice rather than cutting him. Diggs, Pop, Boutte, Chism Williams, Polk make the 53. Hollins will be on IR to start the season. Bourne who i love gets traded to SF as a solid from Vrabel. Baker makes the practice squad and develops there.

“imagine what they probably were being told or not being told. It was a joke honestly.”

Polk sucked last year
Was he set up to fail with horrible coaching and QB play when Brissett played the 1st 5 games. Absolutely
But with his lack of seperation. He needs to run sharp routes with sticky hands to succeed
He will definately be coached harder and smarter
I interested to see how this plays out.

True he does. And no excuse making for his shortcomings at all. I'm just always willing to give rookies time. Go back to last training camp. He was the best wr all training camp and with the first team offense all camp..

Then the preseason games he comes off the bench.. like the mixed messages from mayo and the entire staff.. there was real tension there between mayo-avp-glaser..

It all affects a rookie. Then Polk getting concussion and then the shoulder really hurt his self esteem more than anything as a rookie. He has talent I want him to succeed here.. I want to see a 2nd round pick work out.

Would love to see any Patriot player succeed
Problem this year with Polk is how many balls will come his way
I see Diggs, Pop and Williams and Henry getting the lions share of passes
Sprinkle in some Boutte and Hollins
The only way he sticks is if his confidence ignites with good route running and sure hands
At that point he becomes a target
That is why I said earlier. I see Chism beating him out with ST ability.
Polk better ask to be on ST’s also

Who knew they had DEI.
AI has the value system and opinions of those who program it… so no, I don’t trust AI implicitly, double check and recheck.

Well....**** that....

Gimme AI who says we win the Superbowl!!!

I don't know if this has been poster yet. its hard to take it seriously when it has Polk with 90 rec and over 900 yrd receiving

Final record and postseason prediction

  • 10-7 record (postseason appearance)
ChatGPT had the Patriots finishing the season with a 10-7 record and making a Wild Card playoff appearance. They ultimately fell in the playoffs to the Baltimore Ravens, but not before showing major signs of growth and development across the roster

    • Drake Maye (QB):4,307 passing yards, 36 touchdowns, 8 interceptionsCompletion %: 66.1 | Passer Rating: 104.3
    • TreVeyon Henderson (RB):1,104 rushing yards, 10 touchdowns, 4.6 YPC321 receiving yards, 2 receiving touchdowns
    • Rhamondre Stevenson (RB):752 rushing yards, 7 touchdowns288 receiving yards, 1 touchdown
    • Kyle Williams (WR):1,203 receiving yards, 6 touchdowns, 89 receptions
    • Ja’Lynn Polk (WR):960 receiving yards, 7 touchdowns, 90 receptions
    • Stefon Diggs (WR):819 receiving yards, 6 touchdowns (returned mid-season after injury)

In the near future we'll be able to let AI play the games at our convenience so we can spend a sunny fall Sunday apple picking and watch it live before or after.

Sad to say it but the Pats were the worst team in football last season and in reality they were a 3 win team. I seriously doubt that they get to 10 wins.

And so where the Commanders in 2023, but won 12 games in 2024 with a rookie QB. The 2022 Texans were one of the worst teams in football and won 10 games with a rookie QB and HC in 2023. Pats won 10 games in 2021 with a rookie QB in Mac Jones who everyone hates, but asking for Maye to get anywhere near that as the #3 overall pick with a better team/coaches is out of line? Lol. There are turnarounds every season that come out of nowhere. Nobody saw the Falcons ripping off 14 wins and leapfrogging the 49ers in 1998 who were always known to be mediocre. Who the hell saw the Colts cutting in front of the entire AFCE in 1999 winning 13 games after winning 3 a year prior? The St. Louis Rams were the laughingstock of the league only to become the best team in football overnight from 1999-2001. The 1999 Eagles won 5 games, but won 11 the next year. Pats were regarded as the worst team in football going into 2001 and the won the Super Bowl that season. The list goes on.

What you're really doing is downplaying Maye and the team because you don't want to be disappointed and there's a fear this will set them back to irrelevancy if Maye, their draft picks and FA signings bust. If Maye is a good player at the very least, it will be impossible for them not to win at least 9 games with this schedule. Their only excuse is injuries. This team and coaching staff are capable.

I'm looking forward to seeing the hypocrites coming out of the woodwork and saying they saw this happen when the Pats surprise people.
We're all guessing at this point, and my guess is that the Pats will be middle of the road at best. If they do better than that I'll be glad to admit I was wr, wr, wr, wrong.

I'll be ecstatic if Maye turns into the real deal. He really hasn't yet.

As for any other team's rise from the cellar, none of them were as bad as the 2024 Pats. They were historically bad.

Don't give them any ideas
