Alex Barth's post-OTAs "way too early" roster projection

He played a lot of special teams three years ago when he wasn’t a full time starter. Last year he ranked third in defensive snaps so he played a lot less ST’s. I think Jennings is a solid add the roster, even if he doesn’t start.

Ok thanks for that intell. I remember him playing STs. And he really came on in 2023 when judon went down. I really wish would could have also retained a guy like mack Wilson as well. But Jennings is one of my favorite players as he plays with passion and has the attitude you want to see in a edge setter. He's only 26 his game will grow even more under Vrabel.

I have Boutte as a trade candidate. I heard reports that JMCD is looking forward to working with Bourne. I think we cary 6 WR. Injuries might play a factor. I'm not advocating ditching Boutte, but there are 6 spots for 7 players. Efton is a roster lock IMO.

Per Barth and Lazar it makes sense to carry 2 TE and call up a 3rd as needed incase of injury or game plan needs.

Lampe is a lock in this offense.

Larison's special teams ability buys him a roster spot.

Jennings isn't a fit on this defense. He hasn't gotten much attention this off season.

I have Boutte on and Bourne off, other than that I agree completely with this roster.

I think Barth's list is right on track. The only rocky spots are OL, TE, DB.
OL - it's going to be a dogfight for the 9th spot with guys like Robinson, Brown, Conley, Wilson
TE - I don't know if we're so bent on a true FB to risk losing Bell or Dippre
DB - the back end of this group is a toss up (will they cut Mapu & Epps?) Dugger & Peppers are probably on their last year here and Hawkins was not impressive at all last year.
*But seems very likely Diggs starts on PUP - so they could have 1 extra spot to start the year.

Wilson is on the 53, absolutely no doubt in my mind about that.
