Yes, because he won't be injured before anyone else.I agree.
That doesn't argue for getting rid of Bourne now. He is needed in case of injuries to Diggs or Williams,

Players mentioned as trade candidates above are good/great. It makes me wonder if fans know it takes good players to win games. That’s not all it takes, but its a large part of it.Who is good/great?
Is Stevenson fumbling all over good? No

HAHA How did NE win only 4 games with all these great players you speak of?Also enough with the woe is me “everyone is terrible” nonsense. Even bad teams have good players on them. Take your prozac.
WrongStevenson didn’t fumble under Bill because there were consequences, pretend for a second Vrabel is better than Mayo.
Stevenson is not great.
He is a JAG who might have already lost his job to Henderson.

Have another Bud Light.
Wrong
He fumbled 4 times in 2022. Every time Stevenson has over 200 rush attempts the fumbling begins.
Yeah, jags often post 1461 all purpose seasons. Sounds legit.Stevenson is not great.
He is a JAG who might have already lost his job to Henderson.
Randy Moss played on a 4 then 2 win Raiders team before coming to New England… did he suck? Was he not great?HAHA How did NE win only 4 games with all these great players you speak of?
The funniest part of your post is this sentence above and how you think four fumbles is a lot… especially when he recovered two of his four fumbles.Wrong

Yup., an injured Lowe playing next to a Practice Squad LG and should be cut now. Any 7th rounder or UDFA can play better than someone who has backed up at LT.Why would anyone be a long shot to take Verdarian Lowe’s job, he sucks ass, they should really get rid of him right now.
JAG's are important to have on the team. In this case, Stevenson is currently our #2 RB who would play a couple series to give our #1 RB a rest during the game.Stevenson is not great.

Vrabel pretty much called him RB1. They obviously love Trey based on where they took him and comments during OTAs. I haven't heard much about Robinson from the new staff probably not worth it to read into that too much other than to point out they like Rham and not to disparage Robinson but Robinson seems to be RB2 with highly drafted rookie hot on his trail.JAG's are important to have on the team. If Gibson can play that role and Larison is OK as our #3, then Stevenson will be traded. I think that we want 3 RB's and a FB (and one or two on the PS). We don't need a RB to be the PR protector (that is Hollins) and we don't need a RB to be a PR (those are Jones and Douglas).
However, it is certainly possible that Larison is unable to beat out Stevenson for a major role on the 53.
Agreed. I don't think we have to pretend! .Players mentioned as trade candidates above are good/great. It makes me wonder if fans know it takes good players to win games. That’s not all it takes, but its a large part of it.

I'm concerned for my guy gibby, really think he's a heck of a back, he got a raw deal last season IMO. Henderson likely will be the change of pace back, catch out the backfield.. that's gibby job as well. I hope Vrabel keeps 3 RBs.. with a late bye week.. be good to have fresh legs down the stretch.Vrabel pretty much called him RB1. I see no reason to move on from any of the 3. We should keep one of the few position groups we actually have good depth at intact. Give Maye and the new offense something they can rely on.
With Trey being a rookie I think Robinson still has a role at least to start the year. Both Rham and Robinson should watch out though the rook looks exciting. I didn't mean to disparage Robinson just that I think Vrabel still has plans for Rham and obviously they drafted Trey with expectations and a plan for him too. Plenty of need for 3 good backs think about the years we had White, Blount, and Lewis as an example.I'm concerned for my guy gibby, really think he's a heck of a back, he got a raw deal last season IMO. Agreed. Gibby and rham are both bigger backs.. the difference is all 3 bring a different skil set. We've had a great RB trio before... and it worked great. Remember in 2021 burkhead, rham, harris?? Rham is the lead back, tough yards, goal line. Henderson is the home run hitter can take a 40 yard screen for a TD... Gibby is the guy who can get 5,6 yards on 2nd or 3rd down, and can also break it for a big gain. With Trey being a rookie I think Robinson still has a role at least to start the year. I think that analysis to be nonsense.
I think our 7th rounder is very unlikely to beat out Lowe as our backup LT, our 4th OT. If Lowe looks as bad as you think, we will sign or trade for a veteran backup.
The Patrs currently have Randy Moss caliber players on the roster today?Yeah, jags often post 1461 all purpose seasons. Sounds legit.
Randy Moss played on a 4 then 2 win Raiders team before coming to New England… did he suck? Was he not great?
What's really hilarious is that you consider Stevenson a great player. The funniest part of your post is this sentence above and how you think four fumbles is a lot… especially when he recovered two of his four fumbles.
Ive seen this sentiment a couple times before and don't understand it. I think you are overestimating the rookie and the role he is expected to play so I'm just going to repost what I said last timeStevenson is not great.
He is a JAG who might have already lost his job to Henderson.
You told me we had no good or great players… you are clearly high. The Patrs currently have Randy Moss caliber players on the roster today?
LikeI said, multiple players mentioned in this thread as trade bait are good/great players. Why dont you list these players after after coming down from your crack pipe high.
I didn’t say great, but he’s good… he’s surely not a jag as you suggesting. But you are certainly coming across like a jag level troll. What's really hilarious is that you consider Stevenson a great player.
The Pats spent a 2nd round pick for a RB. There were plenty of bigger needs.Ive seen this sentiment a couple times before and don't understand it. I think you are overestimating the rookie and the role he is expected to play so I'm just going to repost what I said last time
The Pats did not use a 2nd round pick for a change of pace RB.Not going to happen, they are two completely different players with very different roles. Henderson is the change of pace, the lightning to Rhams thunder. You want Henderson to get 10-15 touches a game because at least 5 of them will be electric. More then that he gets overworked, dinged up, and the big plays go away. Rham is the workhouse that gets 20-25 touches and absorbs a pounding and just keeps going. Not as many big plays but the consistent drive down the field wearing the defense out. Plenty of touches for both to be in their best role, which isn't each other's job.
Not as good as that crack you bought. You told me we had no good or great players… you are clearly high.
How about Christian Gonzalez, is he any good?
Answer this one Ozzy.LikeI said, multiple players mentioned in this thread as trade bait are good/great players.
I didn’t say great, but he’s good… he’s surely not a jag as you suggesting. But you are certainly coming across like a jag level troll.
Spillane is a playmaker and will be big upgrade over Bentley. Ellis and Gibbons will be fighting it out for the other spot. In regards to Mapu, he doesn't seem to know what he is and that's a problem. Bill tried him both at S and LB and he was pretty bad. In his second year with Mayo, he picked up right where he left off getting poor grades from Greg Bedard on a weekly basis always standing out as the worst player on defense. And know Kyles just said in a video I posted earlier in this thread that Mapu can't shed at all playing LB. The guy is in no man's land and I think it's the end of the line for him.Same on defense. Mapu....he's done nothing here. Read an article on pats pulpit about him and it was painful. Spillance seems like a thumper but I'm definitely not sold on our lbs either.
This. They took Henderson for two reasons: they liked him as stated in the 1st episode of YouTube and they were also sending a message to Rham. In fact, this is a one year try out for Rham to stay beyond 2025 with that awful contract they signed him to.The Pats spent a 2nd round pick for a RB. There were plenty of bigger needs.
If Stevenson has the job locked down then there is no reason to take a RB that early because it would not have been a position of need. Stevenson just go a new contract. So, why take Henderson?
I know why. Henderson is younger, less expensive, and he was a greater threat in the pass game at OSU. He is rumored to be the best blocking RB in this last draft. IF Henderson steps in and does what Stevenson does and is even better, why keep Stevenson? Trade him for the highest pick and save cap money.
The Pats did not use a 2nd round pick for a change of pace RB.
