Name the ones you have ahead of him. Why won’t you? It firmly establishes your opinion. It seems you would rather rephrase, misrepresent and change my words than take a stand.

I listed 21 players. You said near the top, which I would assume is 1-5 out of 21. But let’s say top half
Who of these 13 are you throwing out for the kicker.
Brady
Brown
Light
Branch
Vrabel
Bruschi
Harrison
Phifer
Seymour
Law
Faulk
Wilfork
Mcginest
Not sure if this is your ranking?

My ranking would slot the players who won games with clutch, championship-caliber play, and put points on the board near the top.

Not my ranking just named 13 of the top guys may have left some off.

So tell me which of those players you think the kicker was more valuable than.

And just to be clear, you don’t not attempt a FG if you don’t have Vinatieri you just use someone else who you assume will be average. So you aren’t taking away a guy who made a 90% shot and replacing him with a miss, you are replacing him with the average or a 90% shot.

Who made the kick? Belichick.

Tell the Buffalo fans that. Scott Norwood shanked the exact same type of money kick that AV made.

Tell Chargers fans a FG is routine. Keating missed a chip shot vs the Pats and Marty Schottenhiemer was fired after having a 14 - 2 season.

Nonsense

AV was a huge part of the NE Dynasty with his money kicking. It was an era of getting the ball in OT and driving into FG range to kick and move on to next week. Having a Kicker like AV was crucial to NEs success.
Don't leave off Cunduff's miss too.

PS screw Pollard

It’s not close to saying that.
You are.

Wow. You think kickers are as important as QBs.
In 2001 AV scored 72 points during the regular season which is equivalent to a Receiver catching 12 TDs. The last NE player to score 12 TDs was Gronk in 2014.

People are oblivious to just how many points a good Kicker scores.
I’ll stop there, no need to put any time into your opinion on this matter, you just invalidated any value in your opinion.
Nope

In 2001 AV made 6 of the 7 FG attempted in the post season. He belongs in the PHOF yesterday and in the NFL HOF as well. You want to put Edelman in before AV just because he is carrying the water for Baloney Bob. I will just let AV enter the PHOF and NFL HOF on his accomplishments while you need Edelman to post more Pats 2025 feel good stories on Fakebook so Baloney will induct him like Tuna Parcells.

You already invalidated your opinion on this and now are piling on more ignorance.
Kickers are as important as QBs. You said that

You guys all know better than to do this.

And there is it. I point out what you said and you respond with the made up crap you attribute to me every time you are buried in an argument.

You told us that Koolaid was a # 1 NFL RB. Like a Corey Dillion or Curtis Martin.

The only thing Maroney was # 1 in was break dancing.

Also, I stated that having a good Kicker is as important as having a good QB. But, more importantly, that AV belongs in the PHOF way before Edelman.

Triumph thinks a K is as important as a Qb.

You believe that Edelman belongs in the PHOF before AV.

You have died on some foolish hills throughout the history of PF. Com, but this one is defending an ant mound.

What would possibly make you think this is so foolish? There was a vote and the popular opinion is that Jules belongs in first. There was also a poll on this board and same thing Jules won.

That is not a criteria for the Patriots HOF.

When it comes to PHOF, the poster Triumph is referring to believes AV's admission in the hall a) should be deprioritized after position players and b) he was an average kicker who had one great game which is another way of saying he shouldn't even get in.

I don't know about all that but as it specifically relates to Jules he definitely deserves it more than AV.

That is where you and I disagree. I've already posted multiple times why and I don't care to do it again.

Should Edelman be in: Yes.
Should AV be in: Yes.
Who should be in first: Yes.
