I doubt Bryant can be a swing tackle, the word in the run up to the draft was that the reason Membou didn’t play left tackle for Missouri was because Bryant couldn’t play RT.

Perrillo wrote a good piece on Bryant, mentioning he might make it as a swing tackle. He played the left side at Missouri because they paired him with another newbie at LG. He also went to the acclaimed OL Masterminds, which is impressive. That tells me he really wants to make it, a nice departure from some others who have rolled in and out of Foxboro recently.

Hope he’s right, I want Lowe gone.

Just read it, thanks.

Funny how Maye going 7/8 in the second session hasn’t been mentioned much here or by the local media. I wouldn’t be surprised if the Herald suspended Callahan for releasing that information.
Probably all check downs.

I know you're kidding but they said one of them was a perfectly thrown deep ball to Baker. Gonzo in coverage and the tweets were basically that they thought the coverage was good but the throw was perfect.

Throwing at the Patriots secondary every day will lead to some bad reports, but will make Maye a much better QB.

He apparently has a $500k weight/workout clause in his contract. Onwenu said last year that his weight had stayed in the 350 range contrary to reports from Lombardi that he had gained a bunch of weight.
just look at the pics from last year, and you could tell he was not a round mound... he may not have been in the best shape cardio wise, but he wasn't obese

He may very well be a little heavier but he doesn't look significantly different from last season. Its that time of year you know when the media needs to make up stories. I mean if Drake walks out today and rubs his forearm it most certainly means he has an arm injury and may need surgery

If both Chism and Hollins are on this team then that probably means Polk, Boutte, Bourne, and Baker aren't. I don't see us carrying 6 because we probably want a FB and possibly as many as 4 TEs.
I don't really have a preference out of any of them other than to point out that Hollins has very limited long term value. But if Polk, Boutte, Bourne, Baker, or Chism can't beat him then I'm good whatever just move on. Chism hopefully could be a PS guy but given the interest in him as a UDFA that might not work.

I think the 53 will be 4 TE/FB....4 guys at those two positions, not a FB and 4 TEs

Boutte is a good receiver. He’s ascending. First year meh, second year much improved and had chemistry with Maye. Unless he really ****s the bed in camp and pre season, I can’t see him being cut. He’s shown he has talent and can play in this league.

I bet they keep 6 especially with the injury history of a few of our guys
Locks: Diggs, Williams, Douglas

Boutte, Bourne, Hollins, Polk, Baker, Chism battle for 3 spots.

I personally could see spot 6 coming down to Chism’s ability at slot vs Hollins special teams capabilities. Depends on what they primarily want out of the 6th guy.

Surprised they were able to get another player in the shot. Onwenu is morphing in the wrong directing.

It's said E Chism is being used heavily in McDaniels new Offense...Poor J Polk.

Let's hope they have replaced Jacobs, and will replace Lowe. Our OL the last 2 years has been atrocious.

Most or all backup LT’s in the NFL are at Lowe’s level. I’ll take that. Jacobs will be out of the league in a couple years if he doesn’t improve though. Last year was the 1st time playing in the NFL…we didn’t have anyone else I guess.

Out of Low, Wallace, Jacobs & Bryant, I feel that VD is best-equipped to be our Swing Tackle, though I suspect we might carry a 4th OT anyway... Jacobs is easily the most athletic of the quartet but still has a LONG way to go to convert that potential energy into professional performance, if he's even capable of doing so in the first place... Wallace is Strictly a Right-Side-Only guy with a ceiling of Mediocrity; and Bryant just isn't an NFL player.

Thankfully we pick 4th on the waiver wire too, at least for the first month of the season... Let's hope that the New boss (same as the Old boss, BTW) takes better advantage of that fact - much, Much better advantage - than they did the last time around.

I hope J. Polk has a great camp i want him to make this team i feel like he could do well under McDaniels.. Chism is nice story he could possibly make the PS.

From the little snippets I have seen so far of how Chism is running drills I'm not sure you will be able to stash him on the PS. He may not have top end speed but he seems to have a lot of quickness and seems very smooth in the drills.
