Wallace was a 3rd rounder who Wolf said was overdrafted even there, not a high 1st rounder.
The point is, it's not an easy switch.

The Titans just took JC Latham last year at 7 as a college RT, moved him to LT. And are replacing him with mediocre Dan Moore because it didn't go well.

His own private OL coach says he's a RT. In their workouts, he crosstrains guys at different spots, and has that opinion. Mike Tice pointed out he struggles with speed, even at RT. His college team opted to go into the portal to find an LT instead of moving him over.

It's possible with time he could move to LT. It's a pretty big gamble though. There's nothing at this point to suggest he's an LT.

The first true words I've ever read attributed to him.

Among Stumpy, Membou & Kelvin Banks at #4, I would've taken Banks.

Simmons will be better than any of them, IF he recovers fully. And yes, I know it's a big IF.

I was high on us drafting Simmons too but we went down the Campbell route. Now after watching tape and learning more about him as a person, I am all in on the young man. Welcome Will Campbell, have a long and productive career with the Patriots.

Care to share where you read that Wolf stated that Wallace was over-drafted...

Right after the draft he said that the run on tackles caught them by surprise and they didn't want to risk waiting till the next round to take Wallace. His meaning was that they liked him but didn't expect to have to use a 3rd on him.

Wallace would've very likely been available with the pick they used on Laydown Robinson; and if he hadn't been, no big whoop because LTs Mason McCormick & Javon Foster - both of whom I considered Superior prospects to Wallace ANYWAY - were still available there.

What did McCormick and Foster end up doing?

I think Wallace is going to work out eventually, probably our RT next year or whenever Moses is done.

What did McCormick and Foster end up doing?
Nothing. It's just Captain pretending like he's better than any GM in the league. The way he's done for the last 20 years.

Mason McCormack is such a great LT prospect, he took ALL his 923 Oline snaps at ... *drum roll*... LG & RG.

Javon Foster is such such a great LT prospect that he took absolutely ZERO O-line snaps for JAX last year.

Great job, Captain. The two players you wanted aren't even playing the position of LT.

So, it's your assumption that it was Wolf's meaning that they didn't expect to use a 3rd round pick on him.

We call that putting your interpretation on what was actually stated.

Why don't you link his actual statement instead of asking everyone to rely on your interpretation.
