I kind of don't give him credit for FG against the Panthers. He missed a 31 and 36 yard FG in a dome in that one. Was the reason why they even needed to kick a GW FG.

There’s very few more deservi by than Edelman for this honor. Guy put himself out in harms way for us over and over again when we needed him the most.

I Remember his face was like a Melon after that Sea Hawks SB game. One of the reasons I was happy he retired not long after.

Well deserved! I'm sure some might gripe that AV should have gotten in first but end of the day they'll all be in. Edelman had a more visible career during and post football and recency bias so he was always going to get more votes.

That really quick score was an 85 yard TD on 3rd & 10. Also Brady had a TD drive right after but he also did get dinged since the INT was the difference between him and Deion Branch winning SB MVP.

the point is good things and bad things happen in games... it is a team game. and yes, he should have made those kicks... but it really felt like the entire kicking game on both sides was off that day... John Kasey kicking the ball out of bounds??? that was a bigger impact on the games outcome than the two missed kicks early on by Adam Vinatieri

Edelman is just so entertaining and likable in his media appearances.

I recently saw Edelman and Gronk doing a Pats draft breakdown.

It looks to me like Edelman is really trying to help Gronk in post career media appearances, but to me Gronk is out of his element in the media.

He just doesn’t have “it”.

Of course, his dominant career alone should easily get him into Canton.
