Well deserved! I'm sure some might gripe that AV should have gotten in first but end of the day they'll all be in. Edelman had a more visible career during and post football and recency bias so he was always going to get more votes.

AV gets a few demerits for going to the Colts.

The fingertip catch against Atlanta, and getting up after Chancellor destroyed him were two of the most incredible moments in Patriots history.

Not only that, they are iconic moments in NFL history, and they were as impactful as AV’s kicks were.
Name me 5 better or more impactful catches this century.

The arguments against Edelman are stunning. For 7 years he carried this offense. He started on defense for a Super Bowl team. He threw a 51 yard TD pass in that wild Baltimore playoff game. He, more than anyone else in the second dynasty, remained a face of this franchise. Outside of Bruschi, he may be the consummate Patriot.

Love Edelman, and I'm glad to see him in. On the other hand, the team kind of has a developing backlog of players from the "dynasty" who are coming into eligibility more or less simultaneously. Maybe they should suspend the one-guy-a-year thing and do a special multi-player induction. Brady, others (Bill?), could come back for the ceremony. It'd be a great way to celebrate the past, and such embarrassments as Vinetari having to wait around twiddling his thumbs could be avoided. I guess it would be sort of a grouped version if the exception they made for Brady. Why not? Celebrate the era as well as the individual players.

Ron Borges has to be removed as the representative for the Patriots at the HOF. What a ****ed up system where a guy like that doesn’t even have to be an active journalist and can still hold that position.

%100 correct Julian's moments are every bit as iconic as Adam's. I suppose the snow kick is the most iconic. And the game winning score in 49 gets a little overshadowed by Butler but still iconic. The Catch obviously stands up their with any moment in NFL history. And then he caps it off as SB MVP in 53.

Both belong in the NFL Hall. And both will stand beside each other in Foxboro's hall forever not too long from now.

Honorable mention to OBJ one hander, because it changed how the position is played. Guys practice one handers now, from youth football all the way up.

Didn't know that. It's genuinely, inexplicably weird that that is the case. Tom Curran would be a great choice, now that he's stepping back from his role as official Alpha on the beat. He has a great historic sense of the game and of our team, which is what that job calls for. Frankly, I didn't even realize Borges was still active or, well, alive tbh. Sorry, Ron.

2) Santonio's toe tap never gets enough credit. That's as good as any and for a TD. I think Harrison's int return shadows it a bit but what a catch.

3) Another unfortunate one that stings to admit but Manningham catch was too perfect of a throw to be in this category. The Catch itself does not stand up to some of the others.

I think if we thought more we could come up with better than 4 and 5 (Clark's catch comes to mind). And I do agree that OBJs catch changed things.

Yep. I looked that up before I wrote that. What a ****ing joke. I wish I could convince a season ticket holder to start a petition at the weekly tailgates to remove Borges as Patriots representative. They would end up meeting every patriots fan that attends the games thi year, and the most popular tailgate at Foxborough by the time the season ended. I would vote for them as Fan of the Year in advance. But if someone takes this up they better bring ****loads of petition paper, because they will end up using every page of it.

He specified this century, so that eliminated The Immaculate Reception and The Catch by Dwight Clark. Coming up with the first three was easy, the other two are a reach IMO. He's not wrong, Jules' catch certainly is top 5 this century. I don't think Holmes' toe tap gets enough love. That's a SB winner with 35 seconds left.
