Challenge the Bills

You’re normally of sound judgment, but did you see the Bills draft? Three cornerbacks including their elite first rounder, Maxwell Hairston, who fills a huge hole, then they moved up to 41 for South Carolina’s incredibly athletic DT TJ Sanders, BIG edge rusher Landon Jackson who I think was excellent value, then the Kentucky monster Deone Walker whom I’ve been following since he came out of Detroit. Massive frame and a high ceiling though low floor prospect. If he can learn to keep his pad level low, look out.

Brandon Beane retooled that defense. FA Joey Bosa, too.

No, the Patriots are still fighting the Jets, who now have a real QB, and the Phins to earn second place.
I was referring to the Bills offense which I mentioned in the previous sentence. The Pats improved the defense while the Bills didn’t add anyone significant. And Bosa on defense shouldn’t scare anyone as he’ll have his annual injury.

Bills also have has really bad drafts recently. Like the Pats, we won’t know how well they did in the draft until they play.

The Pats may have struggled in recent years against the Bills and yeah they currently run this division but how many superbowls do they have to show for it?

Deone Walker was the worst pick in the draft. He couldn’t get past 5’10 275 lb Willie Lampkin at the Senior Bowl. The only thing he has is size, he’s a fail in every other category.

When did this happen?

The Bills are going to waste Josh Allen by keeping McDermott. He just doesnt have that "winner" energy... I can't put my finger on it, but watching the way he addresses the locker room, their roster decisions, playcalling... he just doesn't have it. Good, solid - but not great. You need to be great to win a SB.

We might not be able to compete for the division for a couple years, but a guy like Vrabel is going to have a higher ceiling than a McDermott.. I don't think it's crazy to say New England will win another title before Buffalo does - unless they can McDermott.

It just feels like Buffalo will never win a sb

This should be rewritten, "Challenge the Dolphins" - Let's see if the Patriots can finish ahead of the Dolphins for once in who knows how many seasons.

"...in who knows how many seasons"???
3 that's how many ffs. THREE whole seasons since the Pats finished ahead of Miami. The Patriots have had all of 4 losing seasons in since 2000 yet there's no shortage of 'fans' here who make it seem like they're following the Brownies. smdh

The jury is out on whether or not the Jete have a real QB. Justin Fields, who couldn't keep the job in Pittsburgh, has a lot to prove before I'd go that far

Josh Allen holds all kinds of post season records too.

Its McDermott. He is a .500 post season HC. You never see or hear of brilliant game plan or scheme devised by McDermott to take down a Mahomes or good QB.

The same as Tomlin did to big Ben.

Now Pitt has to settle for Rodgers.

The Pats need to take care of Tua and Miami first.

If they want to take down the Bills this season, they will have to put an end to their annual December slides. In fact, they haven't had a winning record in December since 2018. Buffalo, on the other hand, has a whopping 23-4 record in December since 2020 with 3 out of the last 5 years going 5-0.

Yeah and Tua needs to take care of himself, first...

Jackson, walker, and lundt were decent picks by the Bildoes In my eyes…the rest of their draft was uninspiring

I think the real challenge will come after this upcoming season. I do think NE should come close if not double their win output. I’m confident they’ll be a team that nobody wants to play towards the end of the year. As Barth said there’s a lot of player turnover, will take some time for them to gel.

I haven’t been this excited for a season in years.

He's now on his 3rd team in 3 years, going into year 5, and never sniffed a playoff game.
I'd love to see the Venn Diagram of QBs with that profile, and 'real QBs'.

The jets have a real QB? Who? Not justin fields who got benched for a warmed over Russell Wilson in Pitt last year...

Ok.. as I've posted.. Vrabel's preaching winning the division... that's the first order of operations. That's the measurement and the path forward to a post season berh... go figure 3 AFC West teams made in last season... we could be what Denver was last season or the Chargers for example.. Vrabel has built the defense specifically to deal with running QBs like Allen. What I've seen is when teams take cook out the game Allen reverts to hero ball. Bills defense can be had as well...
it remains to be seen about the bills defense this year... the went heavy in the draft this year revamping their defense... but like most rookies, we will have to wait and see if those guys can make an impact...

True. Milano is thier Guy.. but he's always hurt.. I doubt he makes it to 30 in the NFL. Buffalo had smaller LBs but they aren't fast thier secondary is suspect. As for us.. having speed on offense makes any defense loosed up and play honest.

There's alot to optimistic about. Vrabel as a HC has a chip on his shoulder, Josh is re-energized. The schedule isn't as daunting. To your point on Alex Barth.. the off season program, mini-camp, training camp Is where the team comes together. This is a playoff team. The AFC West had 3 teams make it to the post season last year. We had 7 one score losses last season. Coaching primarily is a huge reason we lost.
