DRAFT Welcome to New England, Ohio St RB TreVeyon Henderson

Very small sample size with a disaster of a coaching situation. Gibson is the more experienced RB, but Stevenson is the most talented. Going forward, I am placing my bet on Stevenson.

Do you want to place a gentelmen's bet? All you can drink at Funky Murphy for the 1st 2025 home game?
Not a betting guy but I have no issue conceding publicly you were right. Is the "win" who is on the team Week 1?

If I'm at a game i'll buy you a beer regardless

I do think Stevenson is a good RB. He's proven that. I think Gibson is better.

I agree except that Gibson is better. Gibson was better in 2024, but Gibson was not better in 2023. 2025 will reflect 2023.

Stevenson is uniquely strong and powerful with above aveage quickness and soft hands - that is unique.

Having said that, Stevenson is emotional. He will be OK. Vrable will love Stevenson and knows how to get the most out of him.

Everything in life is not a straight line.

I agree. Stephenson didn’t have a fumbling problem prior to last season. I’m giving a lot of players a Mulligan for last year as the coaching was a complete disaster.

I like our running backs and how their skills compliment each other.

Stephenson - downs 1 and 2, 35-40% of snaps
Henderson - downs 2 and 3, 35-40% of snaps
Gibson backs up both, 20%-30% of snaps

They stay fresh and McDaniels utilizes them better in the passing game.

Along with Larison, there has to be a nickname with “son” or “sons”. Any suggestions?

Sons of RANarchy lol

Assuming the line is stabilized, Rham should have a bounce back season. He won't be Derrick Henry, but he'll be competent. Gibson is a fine backup. Henderson providing some juice is only a bonus. Also, a healthy Diggs will help the passing game to help get defenses to stop loading up on taking the run game out.

Hoping Stevenson has a good comeback year. I think he’s a top 10-15 NFL back when healthy and on his game. Maybe the drafting of Henderson will motivate him big time.

But it’ll be exciting when Henderson is in the backfield. He’s a threat to go all the way on every touch.

Remember how electric Dion Lewis was for the Patriots in his short stint here?

Imagine having Dion Lewis, but younger, 12 lbs bigger, and even faster straight line speed?

I think if Josh McDaniels fully schemes Henderson, he is going to end up tormenting defenses.

He has the ability to take a screen pass, read the blocks, and make the defense pay. If he creates a missed tackle, he's off to the races!

Add in the fact that Henderson is already a rock solid NFL-ready pass blocker and Drake Maye just picked up a great security blanket as well as a dangerous weapon.

This is exactly who he reminds me of. Dion Lewis, but in an actual regular RB-sized body.

I don’t think he has Lewis’ shiftiness. Henderson is more of a straight line runner, tries to beat you with his speed instead of cutting & juking. Same goes with Gibbs, he’s more shifty as well. But Henderson’s speed is so outstanding, he looks even faster than his timed speed (4.43). Henderson has some jukes and moves, but he’s just not as shifty as Lewis, and I don’t think Lewis was anywhere near as fast as Henderson.

I dunno, Rham is good but not top 15. He's too slow to the hole imo. Maybe with an improved line they can speed him up.

When Henderson takes it to the house the First time... we're going to prefer Rham on the bench. I can't tell you how many times I see Rham attack the one holes; he's not a Breakaway threat either. I was Clamoring for Guys with Speed on this Slow Offense.

Regard Antonio Gibson a converted WR: he should be a Beast in the passing game. I can't wait to see how McDaniels uses him: amateur OC AVP had no clue how to use him last year. Josh with a RB who can catch is like a kid in a candy store.

Dion Lewis ran a 4.57 forty, he was shifty but slow.
Lewis, 4.8 YPC vs Hendersen averaged 7.1 a carry last year in school,
Lewis was 8 yards per reception on 27 receptions; Hendersen had 27 receptions also but averaged 10.5 per
Lewis' pro day numbers were not even close to Hendersen.

I think Hendersen can be a running back and a pass receiving back in the NFL vs Lewis was mainly a receiver but talent wise it is night and day, Hendersen is at another level to Lewis.

I've never seen a back block like this guy, he could move to LT if we need to move Campbell inside LOL.

an NFL executive said of TreVeyon Henderson, per Mike Sando of The Athletic. "He stones them! There are coaches who liked him better than the Boise State guy (Jeanty) for his pass blocking and pass receiving ability."

Saw that and one of the reasons I didn't like Omarion Hampton who's the exact opposite: unlike Henderson... Hampton shys away from Blocking. Henderson is going to help our Offensive Line: Blitzing LB's - CB's and Safeties will be picked up regularly.

Henderson is going to be much more than “ some juice,” he’s going to be their #1 back, and his production will prove that. He’s going to get the bulk of the 2nd and 3rd down reps because he’s by far the best blocking back they have, as well a threat to go all the way any time he touches the ball, whether it’s running or receiving.

It's still silly season. But IF they all work out, Pats could just possibly be set for the foreseeable future at QB, LT, C, RB and WR2. Not a bad offensive core group. Speed, athleticism, character, toughness.

It is still silly season for sure.

WR2 is Chism?
