BGC PTP BOARD 2025

Unlike last year, there were no signs of desperation, the the FO seemed to have a coherent strategy. Henderson and Williams will actually "weaponize the offense".

Between FA and the draft so far, the talent upgrade is huge. Need to build a winning culture and make NE a place FAs want to belong. Then can use future drafts to acquire long-term talent without needing to reach for needs.

We absolutely improved. Went in a clear direction and decisive moves in fa/draft. Our OL should be able to run the ball between Maye, Henderson and Rham. We should be able to kick some ass there. Williams was clear-cut "we need this" type pick.

We definitely are on the right track. Building a much better team than in December/January when we officially ended.

Saw you left Sanders off your QB rankings chart.

What do you know that only the teams are seeing behind the scenes regarding why this guy isn’t getting a sniff?

Some quick thoughts on a few teams.

Phila and Balt just pick the best players available and make it work. Campbell and Mukuba. Starks and Green. To those defenses are just too good. Baun and Campbell give an already stacked front in Phila even more versatility and athleticism. Green and Starks are just what Baltimore needs more of - pass rush and versatility in the back end. Those two teams really helped their defenses!

Chargers got a a lot better imo. I wouldn't have taken Hampton where they did in TD1 but they had their own plans. They obviously want to be a tough, smashmouth - North/South team. Hampton is a bulldog that runs with plus balance - his eye/shoulders are always square although he doesn't have the best vision. He's got a little jump cut that comes in handy he's a big, dude. Long strider. Tre Harris is the best blocking wr in the class. You have your X to complement Ladd. That could be a fun pair imo. I like both a lot and had a high 2nd on both.

Ok talking about wr corps. Brian Thomas and Travis Hunter could be the best duo in the league by the end of next year. I had a solid 1st on Thomas last year. A high 1st on Hunter this year. Both guys have exceptional movement skills and versatility. Milum and Ransaw are good picks too. Very good value there. That offense could be scary if Lawrence cleans up some stuff.

Sticking with teams making clear decisions to really stack their wr corps.
Houston with Higgins and Noel. Green Bay with Golden and Williams. I wouldn't be surprised if either of them had the best wr corp by the end of 26 either lol. Texans have some serious size and athleticism.

Higgins, Nico, Dell, Kirk, Woods and Noel

Wicks, Golden, Doubs, Reed, Williams, Watson

Yeah those groups could be special. They made it a point to surround Love and CJ with as much help at wr as they could.

Add TB right below that list. They have multiple Z/Slot options to go with a HOF guy like Evans. I believe EE can play a little outside. That's a very good wr group.

The giants could have something. I like Dart and love what they did at DL. Carter and Alexander add to a DL with a lot of talent on it already. Burns, KT and Carter give them an incredible amount of speed off the edge. It's actually insane how fast they all are. Lawrence and Alexander complement each other and work together nicely imo.

Conerly is a great fit in Wash and what they want to do. They will go wr with their next pick but they did themselves a solid with their first two picks.

He's just not that good. He has no problems like drinking or any bs like that. He's just the epitome of these NIL kids coming out. Got his ass kissed his entire life and a lot handed to him in terms of opportunities and leeway. He's a solid backup guy with about a 10% to be a top 15 QB. I'd take a shot around the late 3rd/4th but then you have a lot of attention and bs if things don't go right for like 4 years. There's a lot to gamble on with not a lot of upside from a production and personal pov.

I think teams feel the same way and I bet he'll get drafted by the end of the 4th-early 5th. It's not like he did something or has something in his closet or background. He's just A LOT with a mediocre skillset. Like him and his father have 0 self-awareness. They did this to him and you could see it a mile away. Anyone that thought he was worth a top 5 pick should have their head examined. He doesn't have the makeup, arm talent, athleticism to warrant a 1st round grade. I'd take a shot with a empty qb room or vet to hold his hand but you don't want him behind a young starter which is most of the league right now.

Like the Giants, Raiders and Browns evaluated this kid HARD for like two years and just said NOPE like 9 times in a row. That speaks a lot between the time and effort they spent, need they have and connections to the player.

Idk maybe Indy or Dallas?

One day I'll get you to acknowledge that Tory Horton exists
He didn't make my ptp list but I have a solid 3rd on him. I like him!!!

Royals just missed a 2nd. Him and Williams graded out almost identically.
Horton a little higher than Ayomanor. Then Lane right below them.

I wouldn't mind one more. Horton and Ayomanor stand out but Royals and Lane bring some serious juice to this wr corp with Williams!!

Scourton is on there. He made it. I actually didn't change it after the last post. I have a high 3rd on Tate, so yellow. I think I put a wrong color value on one or two guys kind of scrambling ar the end but it stayed the same. I think 115 was the final # after I added Walter Nolen.
OK, thanks. And much appreciation for the work you do here. I really don't listen to much else regarding the draft.

Hit on 5 of the first 7 before we decided on K (who I don't do) and LS. Minor and Bryant were on the radar but I went elsewhere at those spots. Still not bad Kyle Williams was obviously on the radar too.

Campbell - not my pick but I think he's an above average nfl tackle and love everything about him and all the stuff you get after the game. He's a guy you don't have to worry about and will only set the tone every meeting he's in. If he can improve on a few things I mentioned above he could be a top 12-15 tackle for a long time - I had him graded with Top 15 potential

Henderson - love this pick - Graded as Future Starter
Wilson - Love this pick - Graded as Future Starter
Farmer - Love it our IDL could be very very good.
Swinson - Love this pick. I had a 2nd on Swinson.

Future Starter / Year 1 Contributor
"SHEMAR STEWART - 8.40
DONOVAN EZEIRUAKU - 8.27
JAMES PIERCE - 8.25
MYKEL WILLIAMS - 8.25
BRADYN SWINSON - 8.09"

6'4/255 almost 34" arms He absolutely looks the part and has the body type. There's more than a few reps of him showing burst off the line, bend, efficient path to the qb with nice hand usage to finish the rep if needed. Swinson can rush the passer! Very good snap timer. Has a ton of hand counters and go-to's - swat/swipe/stab, rip/dip. He also has a plus speed to power bull rush that turns into a long-arm. Very good hand timing and placement when he turns 2 arms into 1 for his long-arm. Plays with "high hands" at times. He's a versatile pass rusher. Can stand him up and mug him up over the IOL. Chase/Run ability with good range from the backside. Has to get stronger. He can keep guys off him but once they really get ahold of him it's a problem. Block recognition could be better in both phases - pass/run. He's a smart player though. Get stronger to really handle nfl north/south power. He can keep his outside shoulder clean but it's about his lack of play recognition more than "he cant cut off that angle or a linemen gets control of his outside shoulder." Hes a little late that will cost him but hes got the tools to do mentally and physically. Again has to get stronger when the play is coming towards him. I like this pick a lot.

We got several long-term starters imo. Kyle Williams has WR2 potential in this offense. We protected Maye and got a lot better running the ball. This was a successful draft and everything you hear echos the same thing. Vrabel & Co made a big difference in terms of decisiveness, direction and organization.
This feels different from the past few years. I'm hoping for playoffs or die trying this year. I love Maye, I'm a big fan, QB2 last year. We did a lot to protect him and help him this year. Coaching matters and we've seen the impact it's had throughout the franchise so far. Very happy with this haul for sure.

these are some older runs and his vision has only got better. look at the shiftyness and shoulders/eyes staying square. he's a difference maker and can change a game in an instant. high character. this was a great pick.

If you had a 2nd on Swinson you should change your color grade on him. He's red right now : P I know you rushed to get this out. And thank you so much when you were clearly busy.

yea I put a few guys under the wrong color copy/pasting at the end but real ones know what's up. not bad overall but could have done better. eventually I want to get 80%. on to next year.

By the way, I know this is a bit after the fact, but i'd be curious what a write up and grade from Woodson would be from you. If you get a chance could you give us a bit of a deep dive on him? If not, that is okay too. Just curious what your thoughts would be.

I'll expand when I have more time. He testes out top 8 for athleticism trends we've like. Strictly testing though. He went downhill when you added film, age etc. I'll get back to this but mainly a c1/3, quarters backup who can play ST.
