Oh look, the children are playing with their little pictures again. No reason the illiterate shouldn't share their "thinking," I suppose.

Not sure if the arm length thing really matters or not, but I saw him in that suit walking up to the stage, and said whoa. Really noticeable.

I may be wrong, but I remember reading Matt Light’s arms were measured at 33.6”. But he was almost two inches shorter and not quite the athlete as WC.

Campbell’s issue in the pros is over eagerly setting for an outside rush, but then having a speedy end cut inside. Holding penalties may ensue.

Campbell’s was dominant in 2023. But according to some his play last season wasn’t as good. But he did dominant in certain games. Like against Oklahoma.

Great kid from a great family. He’s got the girlfriend lined up. She must be happiest of all.
Could be an issue.

Just saying, all the guys on here complaining about being 1/2 an inch too short probably wouldn't know how to use it if they had it.

Our starting O line now has some pedigree, it's all on the coaching now...

3 first round picks, plus 2 reliable veteran starters in Moses and Onwenu.

Cambell does have short arms, and a tiny wingspan
You can see it here. Vrabel has a chest like a lumberjack. WC is a tall pear-shaped fellow. Quite an oddity, actually.

There’s a 50/50 bet he moves to LG during subsequent seasons after next.

At the NFL Combine, arm length is measured by extending the player's arm horizontally away from their body and measuring the distance from the shoulder to the tip of the middle finger. The measurement is taken with the arm fully extended and is recorded to the nearest eighth of an inch.

So a person with longer fingers measures better than a person with shorter fingers. Seems like they would measure to your palms, since nobody blocks with their fingertips

Finally got around to figuring out (I think...) how to measure arm length. It looks like Will's small-ish hands affect the overall length, since arm length measures all the way to the fingertip. Imho, I feel like measuring someone's "pushup arm length (shoulder to floor while in extended pushup position)" would make way WAY more sense, since people with freakishly long fingers could distort the stat but offer almost no advantage for an OL.
It's 99% player, 1% metrics...

Having longer arms and slightly wider shoulders certainly didn't help Lowe last year

That being said, there may be some truth to the no pro bowl / all pro tackles with short arms bit... until someone proves them wrong. Hoping it's our guy.

It did.....twice in the past two years.
Ikem Ekwonu 2 1/2 sacks in his last 2 years.
Evan Neal ZERO sacks in his last 2 years.

Some of these guys stone practically everyone they face in college.

Different story in the NFL

It's been said that pictures [that don't move] are worth a thousand words. MOVING pictures? I mean an animated gif might have 30fps, so we're talking THOUSANDS of words. Quite efficient, really.

Rashawn Slater?
Nice! Well done.

Edit: He's got big hands too, so his arms are effectively much shorter than WC's.

Edit2: I clearly have taken too much time off from NFL related stuff.

Fire Vrabel

Everything i wrote and the acknowledging of a potential short coming is what you focused on? The whole point was how that wasnt the be all and end all now that he is a patriot. I actually dont see him as a fit at guard at all, i honestly dont understand how everyone keeps saying that. He isnt a dominate run blocker, he plays very tall and upright, and has trouble getting into a low man wins stance. I want my guards to have a nasty attitude where they are actively looking to run people over. Based on everything i have seen Campbell is a sound technician who gets where he needs to be when he needs to be there. He's better at walling guys off then making pancakes.
