NFL Draft Talk

Are we seriously going to pick a RB at 4th? We were saying no in this forum to Barkley 2 years ago, I think, for 12M per.

I am a big believer in RBs but it would be absurd to spend a 4th on one when they can be had in FA for cheap.

Anything other than OL, DE or WR at 4th would be madness.

Vegas has Jeanty going 4th. Edit: I misread. Vegas has him at 5.
I wasn't saying no to Barkley especially when he came out of Penn State, he was clearly a superstar. My buddy is a Giants fan, and I texted him after every Barkley TD run last year, man did he get a lot of texts!

Draft Georgia defensive players and have a superstar RB, what a novel concept. I bet you would win a Superbowl that way.

Without linking to all the multiple sources some things that are being reported pretty solidly at this point:

Seems Every reporter has the first 4 locked in.
Ward, Hunter, Carter, Campbell is the overwhelming consensus with no trades exepcted. .

Then Bears looking to trade up with Jags. Jags may do it as also interested in Tet or O Line.

The Giants working to trade up to Washington at 29 to draft a QB, looks like might be Dart not Sanders

The first run on a position is expected to be edge rushers somewhere between 8 and 20.

Cowboys want Tet or Golden

Many other small rumors/intel out there but the ones above seem the most solid a few hours before the draft.

After all the months of speculation and discussion it is not lining up to be the most exciting first round, but we will see.

I would agree if RB was a premium position in FA which it is not. 20M gets you an elite RB in FA. Why spend a top pick on that when DE/LT/WR are valued twice as much in FA?

Plus, our biggest need by far is LT. Today is basically the first time I am spending time reading up on the draft/players and looks like Campbell is the best LT and we will be in position to draft him. Would be stupid to pass that up.

The only hope for the Pats is that the Giants panic, take Dart and Carter falls, preventing Vrabel from completely blowing the draft by taking the 4th pick on a Guard.

Is J Dart the curve ball in the First Round in 2025??

Poor Shadeur Sanders.

Really hope we Trade Down at the very least we'll have a shot at LT Josh Simmons. Plus we can double dip for another Tackle with Starting Upside.

Can't see a New HC and Offensive mind like Ben Johnson; not taking shot at getting RB A Jeanty with all that Draft Ammo.

I don't see the rush in selecting Will Campbell @ 4 that seems a little underwhelming. I wouldn't mind the Guy after a Trade Down. The next 6 Teams don't have Tackle or Guard Needs.

The Bears and Pats match made in heaven: they have Two nice Second Rounders. Jeanty would help Caleb Williams a lot.
He wouldn’t help Maye ?

I don't know if my brain can handle the season we just had for it to turn into a guard turned project at left tackle with the 4th overall.

Patriots media has already indoctrinated us with that's what they're doing so it feels like the Patriots are trying to get ahead of this before it really sinks the new administration before it gets off the ground.

I actually can definitely see this. Raiders and Jaguars both want Jeanty. Raiders may just flip a 3rd rounder to jump up 2 slots.

A perfect storm would be if the Giants take Dart at #3, which drops Carter to #4. Now you will have the Raiders and Jags wanting Jeanty but also other teams possibly interested in jumping up to #4 for Carter. So, you may get a better offer than you'd expect.

You're taking Carter if he's there.

We don't have enough talent to kick that kind of prospect down the road.

Unless someone comes in with 3 first round picks I'd say not happening.

So we can put you in the he's condemned before he evens takes the field camp, eh?

Giants taking Dart at #3 would be rich for the Shadeur Sanders Drops Show.
