Ever heard of John Hannah????
Ever heard of the one exception in a billion? Dude, you think the Pats should start drafting guards in R1 because they drafted John Hannah 52 years ago? LOL.

It was 52 years ago. Has anything changed in the last 52 years? Like cell phones didn't exist. Laptops didn't exist. Digital music didn't exist. The Internet didn't exist. Electric cars didn't exist. But the Pats should keep drafting guards in R1 because it worked out well 52 years ago. LOL

John Hannah's not eligible to be drafted this year.
Also, John Hannah is still in the conversation for 'best offensive lineman of all time' - that's a bit of an outlier.

Last I looked, Hannah was drafted at #4. It is important you check your facts before running your mouth!!!!

Drafted #4, 52 years ago. Nothing wrong with my facts.

Just scuttlebutt rumor but some are saying Patriots are interested in LB Jalon Walker. They took him out for lunch. I feel like that's way too EARLY for a linebacker. I'd only go for him if they traded down into the 10-15 range.

Not sure what you mean, but if you're asking me who I would pick at #4, based on the info available to fans, I'd pick Campbell.
thank you for your clarification

You mean like Rashawn Slater who has the same arm length as Campbell
...and a 3 1/8" larger wingspan than Campbell

Arm length is the only measurement that would make Campbell a unicorn.

So, his shoulders are wider?3 1/8" ? is that better to grab and hold someone?
Slater isn't the only 1 at 33" either.

This has been some of this board this week.
By tomorrow night, it's going to be 'Ceiling, Barry Sanders and Jim Brown combined - Floor, Bo Jackson and Eric ****erson combined'
I think he’s really special. I think it’s a possibility cause Vrabel knows how many wins he stole cause of Henry.

How many times did he run last year, like 384 or some ****?

Wingspan is irrelevant to pass blocking and run blocking, unless you like holding penalties.

He's really not.
I promise you, he's really not. He's barely Travis Henry, let alone Derrick Henry.
Derrick Henry was a 2nd round pick by the way.

Jeanty's absolute prayer of a ceiling is Maurice Jones-Drew. A fine running back, sure. But the #4 pick overall? 3rd highest-paid running back in the league before he steps foot on an NFL field? Nah...he's not anywhere close to that.

But it holds true: Quentin Nelson, drafted #6 overall. A Blue Chip player is worth the take.

I don't think Will Campbell is a blue chip LG. I think he's a very good albeit flawed tackle prospect, who is a first round talent but pick 4 is too rich. I think this whole narrative about pushing him inside because of measurables is asinine. I don't think he'd be amongst the top 5 guards in this class. He plays too upright and gets pushed back too easily by a bullrush. If we draft Campbell at 4 it has to be at LT, otherwise you're drafting a mediocre guard at 4.

I think Tyler Booker is the best LG in the draft. I also think he could play LT, although he didn't play there in college. Probably the least talked about prospect in the first 3 rounds of the draft, which I'm really struggling to understand.

Same length arms, but a wider wingspan means wider chest and shoulders. Which is easier to swipe out of the way, a 1" diameter sapling or a 4" wide tree?

Besides, in theory, the same-length arms don't make holding penalties any more common for the player with the wider chest. It just means the player with the wider chest has to step slightly less to the side to avoid the penalty.

I was generalizing. Every generalization is wrong, including this one.
You can think that but that doesn't make it a generalization. People picking their nose when traffic is stopped is a generalization.
