It's easy, and only takes a few moments. We should still be able to Trade up and get one of the Tackles if it comes to that. *Using that Second and a Third.*I just think they’d have done more on the OL in FA if they were contemplating Jeanty. Do what the Bears did for example. I’d be comfortable with a Jeanty pick because it establishes for the next five years what this team will be. Defense first, run the ball often, play action deep passing game.
I’m not convinced that’s true. The rumours are suggesting the LTs are moving up, Banks top 10 and Cowboys reportedly enamoured with Simmons) and there could well be a bunch of teams competing with us to trade back in in search of QBs.We should still be able to Trade up and get one of the Tackles if it comes to that. *Using that Second and a Third.*
What about the Bears from 10. Trading down two spots is one thing because if we have three main players on the board, we'll still get one but what about six spots?Jags now look like the favourites for Jeanty at 5. It might open up the possibility of the Raiders jumping them to get him at 4 though or another team looking to come up. I’d happily take a discounted trade to move down to 6.
We would have Two Seconds and Two Thirds to play with; plus a Day 2 pick in 26 one would think.I’m less keen to move down to 10. I think it’s almost certain that Jeanty, Membou, Campbell, Graham, Walker are gone by 10. It would leave us debating Mykel Williams, Josh Simmons, Tyler Warren, and Tet McMillan probably. I’d want a decent package to go from 4-10 in that case.
Tackles are getting over drafted. Plan on it. Every year they do. Never mind the talking heads, get your guy. There's no guarantee they can get back in to R2 to get their guy. If they go Jeanty, Trapilo, Best available WR at #69 and BPA at #77, then I'd say the first two days of the draft were pretty good. I'd like Kendall or Lampkin on Day 3 (no pun intended) but they have no visits reported with Lampkin. They could easily go Jake Majors instead of Kendall, and that'd be fine as well.We should still be able to Trade up and get one of the Tackles if it comes to that. *Using that Second and a Third.*
It's looking less likely. Too many rumours of WR runs in the second and Ladd McConkey comps for Noel. If you're waiting until 69, you're probably looking at Tre Harris, Ayomanor, Tory Horton, Jalen Royals and maybe Kyle Williams.Tackles are getting over drafted. Plan on it. Every year they do. @manxman2601 Any chance Noel drops to #69?
So you need to parlay one of those R3's to get back into R2. I bet it costs you #77 and a 2026 R2. Is that too high of a ransom for Ozzy or Noel in R2? I think I’d rather trade back from 38 for the WR and trade up into the very back end of round two for Ozzy. I would think 77 and 104 gets you there. But it depends on who’s on the board at 38. Someone is probably going to fall. Grant, Henderson, Burden, maybe Zabel? So you need to parlay one of those R3's to get back into R2. I bet it costs you #77 and a 2026 R2. I have Kyle Williams slightly ahead of Jaylin Noel that should tell ya.It's looking less likely. Too many rumours of WR runs in the second and Ladd McConkey comps for Noel. We would get a top 10 pick and then use both seconds to move back up to about 17, getting our LT with 10 or 17.I’m less keen to move down to 10. Why are we trading back and then using those resources to trade back up for a less good LT?We would get a top 10 pick and then use both seconds to move back up to about 17, getting our LT with 10 or 17.
We may get more than a 2nd, or not. I like trading to 9 for a similar scenario.
It all depends on how Vrabel rates Campbell compared to Simmons, Banks, and Conerly. Unless they are very close, we will trade down no lower than 6.Why are we trading back and then using those resources to trade back up for a less good LT?
I'm not convinced teams will pay a ransom to trade up to 4 if they can get similar value at 8-12.We should of been beating this drum for a month. Make other teams that wanted him be willing to swap their first and add a 2nd.
People are really underselling the value of the 4 pick with assumably Jeanty, Walker and Warren on the board. We can’t trade back? I believe that to be absolutely false with those 3 players on the board.
So trade back into the early 40s, take best WR available, and then trade back into R2 with that capital for best OL?I think I’d rather trade back from 38 for the WR and trade up into the very back end of round two for Ozzy.
