NFL Draft Talk

I'm actually excited for it these guys aren't without flaws or just play a position typically not valued at 4 overall but I think getting to choose from this list and pick the one we think is best for us is still a very good position to be in.

I'm good with Campbell, Membou, Graham, Walker, Jeanty, Warren, Tet, or Johnson. Probably in that order for me. But the key is which one is Vrabel not worried about? Arms, RT instead of LT, lightweight DT, or just a position that's not quite as important.

I mean I get it this draft isn't as good as normal but we're still talking about picking the best player at their position.

Don’t want anything to do with Macmillan, and I don’t want Walker at 4, but otherwise I agree.

Pats had a great 2011 draft, imagine what could have been if they passed on Ras-IR at 33?

Still Solder, Ridley, Vereen & Cannon is a good draft. Imagine trading the 3rd round pick used on Mallett to move up 2 spots and grabbed Cam Heywood. I remember that was the Cam draft, I wanted the Pats to draft both Cameron Jordan and Cameron Heyward,(not Cam Newton)
Ras-I Dowling was getting rave reviews after his first game.

Imagine if Dowling had stayed healthy and Gronk was the shooting star who quickly failed due to injuries.

You pays your money and you takes your chances.

Just did another one, surprised it wasn’t that much different. This one was based off of Chad Reuter’s 7 round mock.i think this one is a little closer to reality, but there’s still choices I doubt would be there. But if they could do this I would be really happy with it. I picked Membou over Campbell because I think the ceiling for him is really really high.

4)Membou

38) T. Henderson RB OHIO ST.

69) J. Higgins WR

77) W.Milum

144) Bradyn Swinson Edge LSU

149)Tory Horton WR Colorado St.

220) R. Fitzgerald K FSU

238) J. Hawes TE Ga.Tech
I love the idea of snagging Hawes and Etienne in the last couple of picks of the draft.

That’s way too high for Sawyer.

Mmm I guess most analysts disagree, not that they really know much more than us!
I think he'd be a beast for Vrabel personally. Plus this is the overview...

"Jack Sawyer is projected to be a high-end Day 2 pick in the 2025 NFL Draft, potentially in the second round. Some mock drafts have him going in the first round, while others see him as a likely second-round selection. His draft stock has seen some fluctuation, particularly after the NFL Scouting Combine. "

Unless a trade/unexpected selection @ 2 or 3 happens, get ready for:

-LT Campbell
-T Membou
-LB Walker
-RB Jeanty (unlikely, but based on BPA)
Jalon Walker is my WTF! pick at 4

Here's my draft predictions just a few days out...

Based on guys I think Vrabel would like, team needs, or our 30 visits:

I think Campbell and Sawyer would really bring DAWGS to both sides of the ball.

Could also see them taking Noel at 38 and picking up a pass rusher in R3 instead.
Nice draft, but how do we wind up with 51 ?

I thought you were suggesting he should be taken ahead of Warren and Loveland. Unfortunately he is really limited athletically, and I think that will show up at the next level. I think he could end up similar to Cole Kmet, but I don’t see him becoming a premiere TE in the NFL.

Well I think there is a good argument he should be. I think when all is said in done he will be the best Tight End in this draft. But there is no reason to go against the majority opinion and not maximize value.

That being said I also think Loveland and particularly Warren are over valued. Warren getting top 10 buzz to me is a huge stretch. I don't think I take any tight end in the top 25 this year.

Allegedly…I mean, obviously there’s a chance; but I hope someone does.

I think it's naive to look at it like that. Referring to the tweet and not you the poster.

Eagles Oline was made up of late rd Olinemen, 1 longtime vet RT taken in the top 10 but that was 10 years prior and a failed first rd pick OT converted to RG.

If the only glaring weakness was OT than taking either Campbell or Membou would be a no brainer.

But this team is deft of elite talent and you need elite talent to win in the NFL.

Name 1 team that won the superbowl and was consistently dependent without elite talent on both sides of the ball but had a solid oline.

The winless Browns had a good oline in the late 2000's with a HOF LT and multiple probowl olinemen to pair with him.

I've been fairly well convinced it shouldn't be Tet but I still see WR as our second biggest need behind LT so I'm still sort of hoping Vrabel likes him. Plus I look more at production than draft season BS and forty times.

I'm settling on Campbell because LT is the biggest need and his production also speaks for itself but if they believe in the arm length stuff then I'm fine with any of the other top guys too.

Yeah, I’m cool with Jeanty as long as we can shore up the OL somehow. He’s an elite talent as a pure runner, pass protector & receiver.
