NFL Draft Talk

I'd prefer a WR with more height than Williams and Noel (both are under 6 ft.) and Diggs is already on the shorter end at 6'0". Bech is a TCU WR, some colleges have a poor track record with prepping WR's for the pros and TCU is one of them (Oregon and Baylor are other examples as well). The next TCU WR that succeeds in the NFL will be the first.

Harris is the one I like most out of that group you mentioned, but he'll be there in the 3rd round most likely.
Regarding Williams and Noel I guarantee you the D will be playing off them. They both have Elite Speed.

Is it between him and Rhamondre for the lead back gig? Whoever makes it through a practice without fumbling gets the gig?

(I do like Tuten, if he can figure out the ball security, he could be a real star)
Man, Tuten, you can’t teach that kind of speed and he’s got some strength to bounce off of tackles. He’s one of my binkies, I hope we land him. For 5 years I’ve been praying the Pats would draft explosive offensive weapons. Hopefully they do that.

Meh. I'm not gonna say 'Ki'jana Carter', because he obviously didn't play against top competition like Carter did, but there is a not a lot of tread left on those tires.
I'm going to have to plead ignorance on this one:

But is 750 carries and 80 receptions a lot for a college star RB?

He played 3 years and he's still 21. I randomly looked at some of the top 50 college RBs and saw some with closer to 1,000 touches albeit eras varied and some were 4 year players. I didn't dig to hard was more just curious before I asked. The one comp I found interesting was Chub since they had the same yardage in college and similar number of carries and despite his major knee injury has a pretty lengthy career by RB standards albeit not the healthiest either.

All this I guess is part of why you don't take RBs so high but I still think giving the hand this draft has dealt us we might have to ignore some conventional wisdom and just take the best talent we think we can get.

I think everything needs considering given the drop off after Hunter and Carter. If in other years you might start considering RBs and or TEs in the teens and this draft doesn't have a typical top ten talent pool that it stands to reason you might want to consider the best RB or TE instead of one of the players at more critical positions that are part of the reason for a weak top ten.

High school too.
He had 400+ touches last year.

30 years ago, RBs could do that no problem.

He's small, 5'9" 200, which is why I'm not sure he's an every-down back, but he's fast and can really catch the ball. He's going to free-fall down the boards because a) His brother is inconsistent in the pros (which shouldn't matter, but teams are stupid), and b) He's just kinda small, and also c) I'm not asking him to ever pass-protect until he learns how to do it.

I think he'll be there in the 6th, maybe the 7th. I'd be happy if that's who they come out with.
Not that I'm a fan of Etienne but James Cook, a Georgia product, is about 5'10, 190lbs. I wanted Cook on this team when he came out. I think he went earlier than I expected. He's still small but had to tote more rock because Bills didn't have anyone better to help carry the load. I think we can land a good, every down back with our Atlanta pick, if we choose to. There's a lot of good RB's to choose from and I'm hoping we'll get one within the first four rounds. Etienne likely falls in that 5th round range.

Your looking to use your rookie running back like a rented mule. One contract and done. I'm not too worried about his wear and tear.

I get it but I think 38 is Kyle Williams - Jaylin Noel - Jack Bech and Tre Harris territory. I want one of those guys to run with Diggs.
I think it will be Carter at #4, so #38 will be an OT, but I would prefer to go BPA. Ersery might be in the bandwidth as BPA at #38.

Ersery is a huge man running a 5 sec 40. I am always amazed at these human beings. Amazing physical characteristics.

They had three visits with Conerly, so there's something to them taking a long look. Personally, I think if they don't go OT at #4, then they will be taking Ozzy Trapilo earlier than the draftniks say he's going. I think they could parlay one fo those R3 picks to get back into r2 for him.

I hope we don't panic and automatically go LT in the first but we also can't wait until the 3rd round like last year.

I think they are going Campbell at #4. I doubt they'll get back into R1 unless they want to part with the R1 from 2026.

Probably coming to this football team on the 24th

Not super excited about it

I’m a fan. This kid started from day one as a 18 year old at LSU, and he faced the best pass rushers in the country the past three years and only allowed 4 sacks. He was team captain, and was calling offensive line adjustments from left tackle, which is rare. He’s been the consensus #1tackle since the college football season started, and he’s still rated as the top tackle on most boards. The Patriots have a major need at left tackle and Campbell would come in, start from day one, and fix their most glaring need. I honestly don’t see what there is to not like about Campbell.

I know this won't go over well, but...
I actually think Stevenson is much better than last years Fiasco, they had **** for OL.
If you look up his career stats, he's actually pretty good.
The Fumbling will either be corrected, or he'll be GONE.
He actually had 69 catches in 22, that's a guy that can catch the ball, I was pretty pumped that we didn't HAVE to bring in a 3rd down back that made everyone KNOW what was coming.
Contract isn't in this discussion, but look at those today.
Would I LOVE them drafting a great player to push him for that spot?
Yes, I hope they do.

I think Campbell will be good at LT, but below is a clip against Landon Jackson that is see fairly often on his tape and find it concerning. I also think he is susceptible to inside crashes to the inside.

I realize all OTs are going to have losses, but it seems like Campbell has more than a top 5 pick should have

This is my hope for pick 4

You could be right.
