Combination of any of the 2 Higgins, Tet, Bond, Felton, Noel.Ekuba, will make this passing game better.
Not liking Jayden Higgin: his Route tree is very limited: that guy gives me Harry vibes no thanks. That said I like the rest.

Keep an eye on Maryland's Tai Felton sneaky good player who might have WR Two Upside.
Any other year, I'd be cool with Tai Felton coming in.

I dunno how many 'developmental WRs' we can afford to keep on the roster, presently. Right now there are 3.

I like Tai Felton alot but just saw him compared to a more physical Tyquan Thornton. Lmao
Real insult to Tai Felton there.

I know I’m an Illini Homer and he is not flashy or a speed demon, but if you can get Pat Bryant in the 6th, think we’d like the return on the investment. Very hard worker, good leader, good hands and route running.

He’s nowhere close to Harry other than being 6’3 lol

Jayden Higgins success by Routes was very bare. I don't want this Team trying to teach him: We are the least accomplished in that area. Let Detroit - Philly - Green Bay or Minnesota Draft him.

Route tree has different meanings. I watched him all year. His route running and ability to make smooth transitions are very good for his size. Being a pure route running technician is not an elite trait from him, but good for his size.

Harry had zero route tree and was entirely reliant on jump ball ability. Higgins ran a 4.47 compared to his 4.54.

I am a big fan of Higgins, this narrative started when matt harmon dropped his reception perception.

He is very smooth and has good releases vs press. Very reliable hands and route salesman with head fakes and foot fire.

Higgins is my 4th Wr, but he is not scheme independent. Meaning he will have to be used a certain way, limit comebacks, curls and hitches.

Off the back of news we want to target a pass catching RB in this draft, would you offer up a 3rd rounder for disgruntled James Cook who wants to get paid, but Buffalo seems reluctant.

Another Iowa State guy I was telling y’all about. Raw, but could be a major steal in round 4. Measurables are off the chart. Princeton grad.
All my mocks I take him in with the 4th rd pick. His measurables are that of an All Pro OT. That is worth the risk in the 4th

I'm all set with a 15M RB.

Not sure if it would be that high.. maybe 12m.. Personally think it would be easier to get a young big back in the draft than a pass catching one and I'd trade Stevenson away and use that 9m a year on Cook
I don't think Stevenson is that good.. thought Gibson outshone Stevenson last year, which he did statistically in yds per play

I posted this in the draft forum but am sharing it here as you don't all pay us a visit. You may find it useful.

-------------------------

An updated attempt to try to deduce some kind of order from the draft contacts. We know of 13 visits so there are 17 that can still be added.

I realise that the contact list is not the be all and end all. Last year we drafted four from it I believe and two of those were the QBs, and I also realise it's probably an incomplete list - we can only go on what the draft media lets us know about. However I do think it's useful in providing a gauge of the type of prospects we're looking at and the range in which we're looking.

1. No clarity at 4. Interesting that Jalon Walker isn't on the list yet.

2. LT won't be taken any later than 38 with a trade up from 38 possible if not taken at 4. No surprise here.

3. If we trade down, a pass rusher is a possibility with our first pick.

4. No Egbuka or Burden on the list is interesting. I can see Egbuka being clean enough that he wouldn't need a visit but Burden? Perhaps we met with him at the Missouri pro day where we sent one of our FO big wigs (I don't remember which one).

5. Back to pass rusher. One before the end of round three is a distinct possibility. There doesn't seem to be any real interest in one after round 3.

6. Probably the biggest signal is that we're looking at adding a speed WR somewhere from round 3 onwards.

7. Possible interest in a round two X receiver (Jayden Higgins and Tre Harris). No Ayomanor yet though.

8. Almost zero interest in guards, with a little interest in late round centers.

9. A speed RB from round 3 onwards. A lightning to Rhamondre's thunder. Treveyon Henderson would have to be under consideration here too I would think. The fact that they've met with them all except Henderson is, ironically, why I have Henderson pencilled in to the 38 pick.

10. No QBs other than two UDFAs. This might change now that Milton has been traded.

11. Josh Simmons is the only Ohio State prospect on the list which was, presumably, a medical check. Vrabel was at the Ohio State pro day but maybe they're trying to hide their interest in Ohio State prospects.

12. There's been no reported interest in TEs since the combine.

13. A late round run stuffing DT. Other than Mason Graham and Joshua Farmer, that's all we've met with since the combine (ie pre free-agency)

14. Almost zero interest in safeties. Some interest in day three cornerbacks.

Interesting prospect originally recruited by Penn State could be a Day 3 sleeper.
