The Giants At 3

I noticed he is 6'3 which is about 2 inches shorter than the league average for left tackles. Does that truly mean anything????I dont know but I'm more concerned with a lack of experience playing on the left side. Whether fans like it or not I think Vrabel tipped his hand in his interview today. Like it or not if Hunter & Carter are gone it will be Campbell unless someone wants to give us a sweet deal.

From what I've heard the drawback to not being taller is shorter stride length. If each step is a little shorter than the opponents it may have an effect. His wingspan and arm length are ok.

I have more faith that based on the tape that Will Campbell is a safer projection to succeed at LT than Membou is to convert to LT.

How often has Campbell been on an island against top talent?
I’ve really done little to no film study cause I’ve been on the Hunter train before the Bills game.

But looks like that train is going to a different station.

Would be funny if Arch pulls an Eli and refuses to play for the Browns. Though I've heard it's not a guarantee that he'll declare next year, he might not be available until the 2027 draft. That would be too late for Stefanski and Co. to save their jobs.
Do we even know that Arch will be a solid QB 1 Prospect, let alone a Franchise one?

From what I've read from those that have seriously studied his college play, he's dominated the best Edge and other DL players in the SEC for 3 years. Sure, he's gotten beaten here and there (even Joe Thomas and those of his caliber have too), but Scar and other's who know what to look for in LT's really like him.

Are you concerned about the Tice rankings?

I'm mostly going by the level of competition that he's faced over the last 3 years, what those in the know are saying about him as a LT and a player in-general, and his mindset as it pertains to him being a Pro LT. I don't discount other tangibles. But some stats are the reason why the Metcalf's, A.J. Bown's, Tee Higgins, and even the Orlando Brown Jr.'s and Alaric Jackson's went where they did, instead of getting drafted higher. That's where having scouts that know how to evaluate becomes critical. And we haven't done that well in the last few years in that department. We'll see.

His arms (as confirmed by the Patriots Scouts) came in at 33 ". Add that to his being an elite performer and true LT going against the best defensive players in the toughest conference in college football, and given our need, we'd have to take him. Not taking him at this point would be malpractice.
He struggles with top edge players and his arms almost guarantee he will be forced into guard. He’s not a can’t miss prospect. It’s malpractice to draft someone who is closer to 80-85%likely to not play the position we are drafting him for.

Would you give up a third this year and a second next year to move from 4 to 3 ir 2 to ensure one of Carter or Hunter?

Yikes. That's a tough question. I'd have to think on that one.

If it’s Hunter? Yes. It’s basically even odds that Hunter will be equal or better to whatever the totality of those picks are.

Carter I’m less sure of.

Sanders eats a lot of sacks and has a mid arm.

Makes me think Travis Hunter might be one those “that guy” WR who makes a QB over perform

What's true malpractice is putting Maye behind another caliber of LT that they did last year. Something has to give.

I don't recall most people on here saying that he was a can't miss prospect, just better than anything that we have at most.

Correct, you either have to do one of 4 things with the high pick.

Draft a difference maker like Hunter,
Draft a bookend tackle
Draft a game wrecker in Carter
Trade the pick for more picks because you don’t have one guy ranked significantly higher than the other 4 who will be available at said position.

You posted three videos.
Still better than the idiot who posted only one. That aside, I also gave his career rushing stats.

NEGATIVE 127 YARDS.

Yes I know sacks are considered rushes at the college level but the overwhelming majority of QBs still manage positive rushing yardage. Shedeur is something like the bottom 2 of Power 5 QBs in rushing yards while he played.

Generational, Generational I tell ya!

Bruce Armstrong was Drafted as RT and switched to the Left no problems. I expect the same for Membou.
What makes you want Membou over Campbell
Same arm length: Campbell 33 inches… Membou 33 1/8 inches
Campbell played 4 years at LT and dominated
Membou at RT. LT would be out of position. So it’s a gamble
Campbell 6’6 320 lbs……Membou 6’4” 330 lbs
They both are excellent athletes
