I think you nailed it.

IMO if they don't draft a young QB that plays half the games and shows promise for the future they get fired.

This Giants team was just ranked 32 in the power rankings. Wilson turns 37 mid-season. They stink even adding Hunter and Wilson.

What if Gants go 6-11, then draft 11th in 2026?
Sanders plays for the Saints and plays well and is looked at as a future franchise QB?
Giants end 2025 with no hope of drafting a top QB in 2026, they now have to find a new starting QB for 2026.
The only way they save their jobs is by drafting a QB and showing he can be a future franchise QB. Daboll shows he can develop a QB and they want Daboll to stay to continue to develop Sanders. That's their only hope of making it in their jobs after this season.
Good point.

cleveland is taking carter.....
Again, what is your evidence for this? There is currently more evidence that they are going to take Sanders. He fits the type of quarterback that their head coach likes. When Garrett resigned he stated that he was happy with their quarterback plan then later stated that every team needs a young quarterback who can be groomed into their long term starter. Doubt that he would be content with a plan to take whoever is still available quarterback in the early second round.

I love the fact that's so many Patriots fans are sure that Sanders is not going to go to Cleveland whereas fans convinced that they are going to take him. Somehow you guys feel that you know the Browns better than their own fans.

Ugh we’re going to end up with Campbell

I know right ? Drafting a starting LT would be a disaster.

Daboll and Schoen need to win games this year and build for the future. If the Giants are in the position to draft Arch Manning, Daboll and Schoen will be fired. If they win enough games to save their jobs, they won't be in position to draft a QB next year. That is why they still probably take Sanders at 3 if he is available.

I’m sure the Mannings will just demand that Arch go only to the Chargers this time.

If we draft Campbell, it's only if our coaches are confident he'll play Tackle and has potential to be a long time starter there
I am not sure why posters are so confident that they can tell who will be a starting LT in the NFL.

Why is there so little trust of Vrabel and his new staff?

I understand the argument with regard to whether we should draft our starting LT at 4. However, I do have confidence that Vrabel will be able to choose a true quality LT or two, whether at 4 or 8 or 20.

much, much better than all the professionals making decisions for NFL teams?
The Titans needed a starting tackle, they drafted Peter Skoronski and said they believed he could play tackle at the next level despite his short wingspan.

He has played guard ever since and they drafted a tackle first overall the next year.

A whole lot of teams are run by morons, using “professionals” as a catch-all reason why posters here are wrong doesn’t work. Many of these professionals are dimwits.

Does he? Saw somewhere that he had the lowest rate of turnover worthy throws.
Double digit interceptions in a weak conference, but like someone pointed out he threw fewer interceptions the year prior on fewer passes. I’m still not drafting him, but hope some QB desperate team wants to move up.

"I’ve tried not to overthink it too much or get caught up in all of the misdirection going on in the national media. The Browns have the No. 2 overall pick in the draft, and there are two top quarterbacks in this draft in Cam Ward and Shedeur Sanders. With the Titans poised to draft Ward unless they trade the pick, that leaves Sanders there for the taking, and I still think the Browns will turn the card in on him there."

Mary Kay Abbott is as plugged in as any Browns beat writer.
