It's not like he plays in a bad offensive system either. I'd say the smart money is that he is what he is at this point.Hopefully his issues in pass protection can be coached out of him.
I think I an offense line where you have capable starters next to you you won’t notice it that much as for an Ot for example but they should keep looking for centersHopefully his issues in pass protection can be coached out of him.
I bet Strange still gets reps at center. Of those 4 you listed, I'd say only Onwenu at RG and Moses at RT are coming to camp as 100% locked in as starters. I'd say that they plan to play the best 2-man combo out of:So Marrone didn't like Strange @ Center.
??? Strange Bradbury Onwenu Moses
We seriously have 2x as many centers on the team as any other NFL teamI like it, low on the guarantees and keeps Cole Strange at his natural position at guard. Pats should still consider drafting a center on Day 2 or 3 just in case. Hopefully Doug Marrone can coach him up on the pass blocking.
Besides the LT (obviously) that should be a fairly solid line. I would still like some kind of acquisition at LG even if Strange is starting. A guy like Brandon Scherff would be perfectly fine. On the right side, Robinson is probably a sufficient backup to Onwenu. Strange would be able to kick over to C if Bradbury got hurt, although it seems like Bradbury is sturdy as hell so seems unlikely. Schweitzer may also be the backup C since he also plays both guard spots. So Marrone didn't like Strange @ Center.
??? Strange Bradbury Onwenu Moses
Double win. A young starting center and one step closer to getting Strange off the roster.I like it. No more yapping about Strange at C.
